Overheating at high speed/rpm
Hmm, this is weird. The faster I go, the hotter my car gets. At 70 Mph, I'm running around 3,000 rpm. My cars temp slowly rises. Today, I got on the freeway at 200* and went 10 miles or so, and rose to 235*, still rising as I got off the freeway. I have a band new water pump, brand new rad. cap, and no t-stat in it. The rad. is 1 year old, and still works good, I had it checked. Any ideas?
look to make sure u have the air dam installed, im pretty sure its your problem, it may look a little different on a camaro then what u see in the picture.. But you should know if its missing..

Yeah, I have an air dam. I'll have to check out the lower rad. hose tomorrow. Also, could 90* elbow bends, made of plastic, installed in the hose that runs from the heater core to the intake be restricive enough to cause that? I have 2 installed to make the hoses a little easier to work with.
Thanx

I checked out the lower rad. hose, and it started to flatten out as rpm increased. I checked it 5 minutes later and it didn't do it. It's a brand new hose made by ecr. Any ideas? What causes it to flatten out?

It should have a spring in it to prevent it from flattening. Stick a timing light on that engine and post the timing at 3000 rpm. Could also be running lean and cause an overheat problem.
