The Big 18s?

Received an email today from the place I bought my 17 inch rims from. Seems that there will be a delay in shipment, so he asked if I would like 18 inch. So I emailed back to see if I'll get them for the same price. If he'll give them to me for the same price, I can't turn them down.:nono: So when I get everything and the tires and I put the car back together (motor apart getting its winter build-up) I'll post some pictures.

Sweet! What brand wheels and what sizes? I got 18's in my garage but they're still in the boxes because I dont have tires for them yet. Glad to see more people wanting to run 18" wheels. I think they fill up the wheelwell nicely.

They are Eagle wheels type 077 in 18x8. I think I'm going to put Kumho 245/40/18 tires on. I'm also getting the Skulte 2" spacers. Here's a pic from Eagle's website www.eaglewheels.com

Not bad at all! I would love to go for 18s on the street but i don't want to run with the adapters, so that means a custom wheel would be needed. Well, maybe not custom but a set of Simmons or Fiske wheels should fit the bill! lol, yeah, maybe in ten years. good luck with them

Those don't look bad at all. I think they'll look good in 18s, I can't wait to see pics.

The set of 4 17s are costing me $469 w/S&H. The 18s are something like $80 more. So if I can get the 18s for the 17 price

that's it, wow that's a great price, for that cash, if I had to go aftermarket, those might be it.

That sounds too cheap for a nice looking rim like that. If its legit I bet we see many more 3rdgens sporting those rims, and hell I thought $210 a rim wasnt a bad price for 17x9s

something cant be right. Summit has the 077 eagle rims for $159.95 each for 16X8's.

Not saying you are not getting a deal from someone, but check it out for yourself.

I think that price is reasonable. I've seen set going for about $475 around here. I was going to buy a set a while back but decided to go with 85-87 irocs.

A couple of answers. Check out ebay item # 1874686740. Yes, they have them as FWD, but the backspacing and offset is just like a 4th gen fit. I talked to Andris @ Skulte and the 2 inch spacer is perfect. Just like a 4th gen rim. The place on ebay has had these rims almost every time I was looking for rims there. They never really go for more than what I paid. The S&H charge isn't too bad, either.

85 ZEDZ28 I have the stock 4wheel disc, but I realize I'm now going to have to spiff them up or get new because they'll be highly visible.

You may be saving money on the actual rims, but the tires for the 18" rim are going to be more expensive...

Yeah, I priced them at the tire rack. They'll be about $100 more for four. I guess I just can't burn 'em off as quick.

Nice rims

I have the exact same rims on my TA. My only complaint is that the rim is not as wide as the ZR1 and doesn't look as aggressive. Better have a nice looking set of brakes to show after you put them on. In any case

Here ya go, its a pic of LowCamaro's car. The wheels are 18" Eagle Alloy 077's. In my opinoin, the wheels need to be spaced outboard more, and the chrome wheel well trim is tacky. Definitely not my style...

Talked to Greg at the wheel place today over the phone. The 18s will be shipped tomorrow at the 17s price. Now I have to start shopping for the tires Oh yeah, 1991 Z-28, do you have spacers on yours. If you do, from who and what size?
