Car Cruise Idea

Mike and I were talking today and figured we'd put on a thirdgen car cruise for the month of January. My plan would be to start somewhere in Long Beach on PCH, travel South to Ortega Hwy, and then cruise up the 15 freeway ending at the Ontario Mills Mall for food and Dave & Busters. The date would be either the 18th or the 25th. Who's in?

Well seeing that my bird is dead and I need to strictly conserve money I am out. Sounds like a ton of fun though. I want to do one of those as soon as the new engine is in

If you guy's promise to go really slow, I'll be able to make it. If not I'll just stay home and play with my Hot Wheels.

If there are any hills, I can not make it. I still haven't fix my trans yet. Right now Don working on my 3.45 rear end. I should have it in by the end of January. Then I will concentrate on the trans.

Ok the date will be Saturday the 25th. I'll get with Mike "Canyon Man" Perez between now and then to plan the route and set a time.

Put a USFS Approved spark arrestor on it first.

I can go.

Mike, James, and I ran the course this morning, and it should be a lot of fun. There are scenic parts, canyon parts, and freeway parts. The whole thing took about 4 hours including a stop for lunch. We have two choices. We can meet early and have breakfast before we cruise at Mimi's Cafe, or we can stop halfway thru and have lunch at Denny's. Neither of these places are definite, but they're along the route. Or we can not stop at all until we get to the Ontario Mills Mall. Its up to you guys.

The starting point is the Marina Pacifica Mall in Long Beach at Pacific Coast Highway and Westminster Ave. We can meet at 9:30am and have breakfast or at 11pm and have lunch along the way.

Hmm, breakfast then drive ... drive, then lunch, then drive ... drive, then early dinner? Tough choice ... either suites me fine so long as the bs session is there.

I noticed this cruise is the same weekend as Holtville. Which event are you road racing guys going to?

Hmmm, I guess I missed guessed that Holtville event day. It IS the 25th, not the 26th like shown on the "calender of events". Well, considering I can't really go to Holtville with these tires, I'll swing with you guys. Beside, this is a club function.

I'll go on the cruise as well. My car might be down so I might have to hitch a ride. I'll know more this week.. Nothing major, just need to R&R the intake to fix an annoying yet small gasket leak and do a few other small things.
