Finished LED Dash
Now what you want to get that effect is to REMOVE your stock black overlays and use MacEwen's white/silver overlays instead. They're transparent and will the blue light through instead of turning it green like your stock overlays do.

92V6Heritage- I used 8 LED's two in each socket for the bulbs that illuminate the dash. The LED's were white ones, and cost me 1.75 a piece.
LowStyleII- yes my service engine soon light is on, but it isn't now, my car has been sitting in the garage and it went away after i ran the car.
Odyssey-If I had money to spend I would have done mine like yours. I got the white LED's, mine aren't blue, so its probably an illusion if you saw green. I only used 8 LED's, all in the dash lighting and not the warning lights. I probably spent a third of what you did. Again when I get the money I'll probably get the white face gauges, and maybe more LED's.

Ok, I bought one blue led and two red leds. I installed the red leds in my spare gauge cluster. It works pretty good and illuminates the tach needle red. I used a white led flashlight to illuminate the rest of the dash that. This is my spare dash so its not in my car yet. It was pretty easy. I used a dremel to cut the clear plastic so my white leds don't shine on the needle. then i used a drill to drill into the clear plastic around the needle. It was pretty easy and i used two and it is pretty bright. I'll try the blue led sometime and let you know how it turns out.

OK, here is a pretty bad diagram on how to do this. thisi is the back of my spare gauges for my 91 RS. This should work on all 90-92 gauges. I hope this helps.
Their are 4 bulbs that illuminate the dash and the needles. So unless you do something like this your needles will be the same color as the led's behind the dash. I don't know what it looks like behind previous year camaros or firebirds dash and not sure if it would work. I got more pics i can email you if you want of how i got the needle to be red.
