High beam selector doesnt work with wheel in "down" position

I notice that my high beam blinker switch wont engage unless the steering wheel is up as high as it'll go. if i adjust it so its lower the highbeam will go on but wont "stick" on. if i adjust it all the way down it doesnt work at all. is this an easy fix or do i need a new blinker arm?

Try adjusting the high beam selector switch under the dash. It should be a white plastic piece with a metal rod going to it. It will be a pain to get to it but you should be able to see the rod move when you push the lever. There are two screws that you need to loosen up to adjust. I had the same problem where it wouldn't lock. Adjusted it and fixed it.

I believe it's held on by two screws that are a pain in the *** to get to. IIRC I used a shorty 10mm wrench. I only loosened the one I could actually reach, and was able to move it enough for adjustment.
