I'm interested in one.

Also you didn't say, but I belive it is still a 10" box (same as before)

Is there enough room to put some sound damping material (dynamat) between the box and the car.

What 10 inch woofer do you recommend with that box?? I have not been able to locate many that will work with less then .6 cubic feet. With the speakers displacement, wont the airspace drop below .5?? It looks like it would work well for 8 inchs.

Rez is a good guy, i ordered Kickpanels from him and am very happy with the fit and look. He was very nice about everything and kept me up to date on the completion, shipment and gave me the tracking number.

When trying to rattle-proof my car, I used some self adhesive .25" foam weatherstripping (dark gray in color) on the panel, so when that door closes, it forms a tight seal. I also have the locking hatch floor storage cover, and I did the same where it closes.

I highlighted the part in blue in the pic.

REZ!, i've decided that i want to 'glass my own box, with a custom plexi/mdf cover with neons. I want to know what kind of grey carpet you used on my kickpanels for the soul purpose of having the box carpet and the kickpanel carpet the same, thanks!

Stealth in a Convertible

Hey Rez,
Do the stealth boxes fit in the convertibles? Thats the location i'd like to put a sub but i'm not sure if the box will fit the same. Any ideas on whether it would work or not?

Alert! Alert! Alert!

I have to stop taking orders again!

Over the weekend my National Guard unit was put on alert, so I have to stop taking orders for awhile. I don't want to ship out with unfinished business. I'm going to finish the orders I have in the next couple weeks. Everything else will be on hold until I hear more about whether or not I'll be going anywhere. Sorry for any inconvenience to anybody! I'll keep you posted.

I built my own custom box for th rear well of my IROC to fit 2 12" subs in there. It sits flush for t-top mounting. If anyones interested or needs a box built I could do it for them. just so you all know if you need a sub box while he's gone.

I hate to hear that your unit is on alert. I hope that you don't have to go, but if you do, Good Luck, and Stay Safe!

David, how about finishing the orders you have now, and then selling items as they're finished, once I verify that the stealthbox will fit in this vert, im pretty sure you'll have a LOT of sales, especially with how good it sounds in my car.

rezn8r

question on the kicks---- how much for enough tweed to recover them.as my printer color and the actual color of the tweed was a few hues different.as i remember i ordered the heather and maby should have gone with the gray color.the match right now is pretty poor but the kicks are GREAT.
thanks

I dont know how it will sound in there, but it does fit, i test fit it the other night, im going to switch to an IDQ 10 and possibly build a glass box for 1 or 2 more in the well, but it will have to fit under one of the locking storage panels, leave my spare tire where it is, and leave my nitrous bottle back there, dont know how anyones gonna get a high power sub in there, im pretty sure my problem with the low freq was the box size, take the .50 cu ft the sub calls for, which the box is, but subtract the volume for the huge backside of that sub, that was probably the equivalent of a very small box. The IDQ's call for .25-.50 so it should work good, we'll see.......

dont the converts have enclosed trunks? if so it will sound the same as a normal 3rd gen as far as outside. it wont be intense on the inside tho obviously since your open to the elements but it will still have the same kick to the people watching you cruise down the strip at the beach etc

I've been taken off of alert status It will be business as usual in a couple weeks. I want to build up a small stockpile first. Some updates are on the site including stealth box specs. More updates will be coming shortly. Including hopefully an online store, and ability to sell car audio equipment through the site.

Most of the info that was covered in this thread is now on the website, so I took out a lot of info to make this thread load faster. I put up pics of what the box plans and kits look like. Check it out if you're interested:
