i dont feel the need to sit at the border in my fully done up iroc...and wait for hours while they check the iroc for something they THINK i have hidden...they take the car apart then hand me a screwdriver and say..OK PUT IT BACK TOGETHER"..

soo.....im just going to the camaro nationals in canada july 13-15 instead.. i dont know who else feels the same..

I cross the border at least monthly, at both Queenston/Lewiston, and in Buffalo/Ft. Erie. Have for the past 3 years. The American border guards are a little xenophobic, but that's their job. They're not unfair.
A white guy in an IROC isn't at the top of their suspect list.

I've only been randomly searched twice, never denied entry. I would bet that you'll be fine.

 

ya i went up last weekend, i took a van. they told me to turn off the van he opened the side doors, asked a couple of questions, and let me back in the states... i waited maby 30 mins ( was a little backed up but not very much). if i can get my van back to the states, im sure you can bring your American Muscle car over to the American side

i've been wearing a trenchcoat since 1995, i sometimes support makeup, i wear nail polish, i have many rings, i like leather stuff.. buckles, big heavy boots, and i have long black hair..
if you're really scared of the border people, i'll go meet up with ya and go a car a head of ya, if they have any problems with anybody, it'll be me.. i don't care about stripping my car's interrior.. i'm down to 45 minutes to put it all back together (yeah, i strip 'er down a few times..... damn stereo wires and rattles)

ok first off they can not take your car apart and then just leave it. no mater what you think or have been told they CANT do it. there is even a # you can call the RCMP if you have problems with the US boarder gards. look it up and you will see that i am right

2 there is always a chance when crossing that you will have to wait in a line. ever tryed to cross on a long weekend?

if you dont want to go then just say you dont want to go. saying your afraid of the boarder and terrorist just bring the terrorist that much closer to what they want. (people afraid to do the thing they want to do)

Tell ya what. I am not far from NYC, I was working at Newark Airport on 9-11. If there are any terrorists gonna pull some stunt, chances are its in Jersey. I think Canada's foreign policy makers are A LITTLE BETTER at making friends than your country's. Nothing personal I like the US a lot, and even have a home in RI, but people that live in glass houses...

 

Anybody got info on the Nats in Niagara falls? Gonna be home in june, and thats alot closer for me than Maryland. A PM would be fine if you dont wanna keep this thread going.
