thanks guys, i'm not sure about the paint but i do not believe it is, but the previous owner said it was atleast 4+ years old b/c he had owned it for 3 years plus the time i have

dont get me started! it's not even working, it wouldn't start so he(the previous owner) cut off the wires so it's of no use now, and what makes it worse is the thing leaks... i dont even want to know what he was thinkin.

Cool. The MSD unit mounted on the coolant overflow bottle is a new one, or is it mounted from the fender well?

previous owner put screws and bolts on it or somethin i haven't takin it off yet i am waiting till it gets a little warmer. it is non functional now since he decided to cut the wires

Wow. MSD on the coolant overflow. That's a new one.

If the box isn't damaged, MSD has online versions of their instructions which will show you how to hook it back up.


Make sure you move it though.

yeah, I would think the hot coolant would heat soak the msd box!!!!!!!!!! And with the screws leaking, it would get on the unit.

it doesn't leak a whole lot but enough that u notice it, it's on the bottom right screw, i dont know what the guy was thinking but oh well.....

You should add that pic of the MSD box to my thread to show people what not to do! Different, but not smart IMO. I say rip it out of there and just buy a new overflow tank, they are cheap and look good after putting them in. Too bad they get dirty quick. nice car too

thanks for the compliments again, i still am unsure of what i will do, i plan on taking it out, but depending on what the holes look like will decide if i buy a new tank or not.
