Car Wont Start After Dead Battery
Car Wont Start After Dead Battery
got to get a new fuel pump installed tomorow, so i decided to make sure my car starts after sitting all winter. but i had a dead battery. i was like wow and hooked up the charger to it, but i got impatient so i decided to run jumper cables from one of my batteries to the other. (the other battery is isolated) when i did this something didnt feel right, so i took off the jumper cables. i thought maybe i reversed the polarity, but i didnt. i decided to try and start it again, but when i turn the key to ignition, i get nothing. no fuel pump prime, no buzzer, ect. i have power for lights, horn and alarm. i finally let the battery charge than i checked all fuses with a volt meter. only one that was popped was one thats for my remote start, i changed that i tried to remote start it. it fired up, i was like yay. i let it run for abit, but when i put the key in the ignition and put it to run, the car died and i poped that one fuse again. with the remote start working, i know all my hardware is working good, but i cant do nothing with the key. maybe im not gettin +12v up into the steering column? anyone have any ideas?
