I broke my t-5 a while back and just got around to tearing it apart... notice the chips of metal lying on the ground next to the transmission.

I got it conmpletely taken apart and here is the total damages -

5th drive gear
5th driven gear
2nd gear
and the counter gear

the funny part is that the rest of the tranny looks beautiful except for all of the gear teeth everywhere.

bad clutch... It was sticking open then slamming shut when the engine was at like 2000-2500 rpms. I have no Idea why that killed 2nd and 5th. I have only owned the car for a year so there is no telling what the guy who owned it before me did to it.

DAMN! I thought my T-5 was bad!

That little pile was also only about 1/4 of the teeth that fell out too.

Upon think of what abuse I handed to the tranny I believe that powershifting into 2nd is what did it in. And I think I killed 5th when I had to take off in it after the rest of the tranny seized.
