82 TBI (crossfire) to Stock 76 Qjet

82 TBI (crossfire) to Stock 76 Qjet
Wondering what mods need to be done, how much PSI does this TBI produce, I do not want to change the fuel pump, I am going to use a AFPR. Can I use a cheapo from a local auto parts store, or what? Also, i swear there are two fuel lines on my 82 Z-28, which is completely weird, am I right, one for each throttle body?
Basically just need to know how to make the fuel supply work for the carb from the crossfire injection while using the stock fuel injected pump, thanks.

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
All 3rd gens have two fuel lines - supply and return.
If you keep the 9 psi CFI/TBI pump in there (not a bad idea in my opinion), you need a 3-port AFPR, not a cheapo parts store 2-port. The pump needs to have fuel flowing through it all the time to keep it cool, and dead-heading it with a 2-port (even an expensive one) will kill the pump.
You'll need to keep the oil pressure switch as well. No biggie.
If you keep the 9 psi CFI/TBI pump in there (not a bad idea in my opinion), you need a 3-port AFPR, not a cheapo parts store 2-port. The pump needs to have fuel flowing through it all the time to keep it cool, and dead-heading it with a 2-port (even an expensive one) will kill the pump.

Please help me out a little more. What/where is this oil pressure switch. So I have to buy a 3 port afpr, well do you know a part number from summit, money is sort of an issue here.
By kill the pump, do you mean, a couple years, or a couple days, hours?
Oh yeah, there is a mech. fuel pump from the 75 attached to the block, hmm, any thing i can do with this ?

I'm not completely sure about the location of the oil pressure switch, since the versions I have a V6's. But, it's a safety feature to cut power to the pump in case of collison.
With a 2-port regulator, you're probably looking at weeks of life out of the pump.
I'd have to look up a Summit number same as you. A "poor man's" alternative would be to get a mechanical pump for a carb'd 3rd gen application, '82-'87, which have the return line. The pump would dump excess flow from the electric back through the return line. The factory actually did that on the '87 models (was a dealer retrofit for earlier years if the customer complained about vapor lock). The '75 doesn't have that return line provision, so it wouldn't help you any unless you eliminated the electric in the tank.

There are reports of being able to pull through the disabled in-tank electric. Best bet if using mechanical-only is to pull it, which means dropping the tank.
Hard to beat pusher electric, regulated with return, mechanical on engine, in my opinion. Next best is same w/o mechanical.

Okay guess I'll do it this way then.
Could you help me out with a part number or something, so that I can get this thing running, it's probably cheaper getting this fuel pump then an AFRP...
Put yourself in my shoes for a second, I want this car running ASAP, but dont want to spend a lot on little stuff like this.
