Dual snorkel guys, stock type need a favor.

I need a small favor. I got a corvette dual setup but the thing doesent fit, hits the ac compressor. I have tall aluminum valve covers and am wondering it they are infact interfering with the fit since the compressor had to be raised 2in. If one of you could measure your setup from snorkle to snorkle a compare one that is made for our cars to a stock setup I'd appreciate it.

You want to know how much space there is between the snorkels, edge-to-edge, right?

Didn't have a chance to measure last night. Will try this evening.

Finally got a measuring device on it.

From inside front corner to inside front corner of the snorkels, it's about 20". Each snorkel is about 5-1/2" long.

Measured this one today. This one is 14 inches from snorkel to snorkel.
I wonder If the vett airbox could be installed with it. It sucks air right on top the radiator, I guess its about the same temp as a stock inlet. Still gotta see if the serp conversion will allow me to use the new base though, That LG4 AC support braket is killing me.

I just checked Iroczdave's website and he's got a dual snorkel air cleaner housing for sale at $100. The photo shows a part that's in nice shape. I've heard of people using the Corvette dual snorkel - Chevy High Performance had an article on it, but all it said was that modifications were necessary. It didn't specify what those mods were.
