White parking lights.

Has anyone put in white parking lamps on their camaros? If so do you have pics? I've developed a hatred for amber and want to get rid of as much as possible even if it is just light and not always seen.

I used white LED's everywhere:

White LED's in:
Side Markers
Front Turn Signals
Aux in Fog Lights
Headlights
License Plate Lights
Back-up Lights

Red LED's in:
Brake Lights
Rear side "triangle"

I found an old pic with all the front LED's on;

EDIT: I've actually been thinking about changing the side markers and turn signals to a really deep orange like on the 4th Gens and C5 Vettes except still use LED's; I know a lot will say "you've got r!ce, change them to the amber!", but I do sometimes like the "flashy"ness of the white, so for now it stays.

Where can you get those white LED's for the front turn lamps? Are they a replacemnt type bulb or custom wired?

eBay, http://www.autolumination.com, or some place local that does import stuff. The bulb is a 1157 for the front, and 194 for the sides. So you could just search for "white led 1157' on ebay and get at least a dozen results (similarly for the 194). The most I've seen is like a 19 LED 1157, and a 4 LED 194 (where more = brighter/better).

EDIT: Try to get 1157's with a diode.

A buddy of mine found 6-LED 194's in a variety of colors. I'm sure they are a little brighter than the 4-LED 194's.

TPIROC, do your lights come on fast like the Caddies? I was thinking about doing that to my car too.

The bulbs I used have diodes built in to simulate a load. Older turn signal systems rely on the load of the bulb to operate properly; so it flashes at no different speed than with the bulbs - the circuit is unchanged. If you got an un-loaded LED, it may blink faster, or not at all (or the same, really not sure).

Thanks for the info guys I have been looking for a way to make the front turn lamps stand out a bit more and I think the 30 LED's should do it! Now should I get amber or white?

Yes (led=light emitting diode). He may have meant resistor to simulate the load a bulb would normally place on the flasher relay.
