Picture posting Questions "Old Timer Needs some Help"
I was going to post a few pictures of my new engine & parts that I have accumulated for my 89 Iroc project car, but when I try to upload/post/attach the images I get the message that the picture size is too large. What do I do to make the pictures the right size ??? I have the pictures stored on "My Documents" on my computer, but I have not a clue of what needs to be done for me to be able to post them. Thanks in advance for the help & please keep any instructions as simple as possible, Remember I did not grow up with a computer and to be quite truthful, black & white TV's were more common than color models when I was attending gradeschool.
Thanks A million, Bruce

You need some kind of image-editing software, such as Paint Shop Pro. It comes with all sorts of ways to alter image resolution, size, compression ratio, etc.
You always should save your pics as a jpg or a gif rather than a tif or bmp, the file size ratio can be as much as 50:1.

The easiest way for windows users is to open your image file in MS Paint which is set up on virtually every windows installation. Once you have the file open, go to Image, Stretch/Skew, 80% 80%, OK. Then File, Save As, and name it something else (preferably something.jpg). If 80% doesn't get it small enough for thirdgen, you can try it again with different percentages.

Yea, its the 427 that I've been getting together over the last year 'It should be in the 600 horse power range". I'll try & get the rest of the pictures of everything taken & posted in the next few days on the engine swap board.

I know you gave some specs, but can I dig alittle deeper?
Dart Little "M" 427 ci. small block,
Cola Crank, Childs&Albert Rods
What compression J&E Pistons
What make of Brodix heads/intake Brodix Alum. Heads & Intake
What are specs @ .050 Bullet Mech. roller Cam
Scorpion Roller Rockers
860 cfm Pro Systems Carburator
Jet Hot Coated Hedman Headers
W/ 2" tubes Headman makes 2" headers for sbc?
Just interested, I have my 400 block, and most likley will do a 406 over a 434. I still waver on which to do at times, so its good to hear about both buildups(even though you cheated with that block :hail: :hail: )

The J&E pistons have a 4cc dish "if I remember correctly ". They were ordered/ designed to have a 10 to 1 compression ratio With the Brodix heads 76cc combustion chamber.
The heads are Track 1s with 2.08 intake valves. The intake is a brodix HV-16 "i'm pretty sure thats the number" anyway its an aluminum dual plane intake.
The cam came from bullet in Memphis, TN the Duration @50 is 245 intake, 249 exhaust. gross lift is .548 intake &.555 exhaust. The lobe separation is 112.
I may possibly change cams before I install the engine. First reason is that I've decided to swap to a manual master cylinder & I might tighten up the lobe separation and I also might try to go with the designs that have the different firing order.
Yes Hedman hustsers makes 1 7/8" & 2" tube headers "ordered mine thru Jet Hot" , but for the record you have to use a aftermarket tubular "K" member for clearance at least for the 2" ones anyway. I'll post pistures of the headers real soon. The K member won't be ready for me to pick up for a week or two, but I'll post pictures of it when I get it.
As far as the block goes, I bought 2 different GM 4 bolt main blocks & I really had not settled on a particular Cubic Inch set-up to go with, amyways one was core shifted too bad to use for a high power buildup and the second was going to have to be bored 60 over "If it would even make it then". So I decided to go with the Little "M" Block.
I thought that it would not need to be bored and would offset some of the cost of buying a new block, but I was wrong as It had to be finish bored also.
My engine builder had only used Bowtie blocks & GM stock pieces & had never used a dart block before, and he likes the dart block better than the GM bowtie. If you want any more info, feel free to ask.

Oh yea I forgot to mention that with the Hedman Hustler large tube headers it is not possible to run a oil pan with kicked out sides like the Milodon pan that is pictured on this engine. I had to swap to a Moroso deep pan otherwise the headers would not have bolted up. You also have to use a mini type starter
Just a heads up
