I have done them by myselfes, lots of hard work

First you have to fix them like you want them in photoshop or other program

then you need a good printer, and i have printed them on glossy photopaper

then i have spray them with some sort of varnish
on the backside i have lay some transparant film in every coulor you need to get that light you want,in my case blue, red, orange and little green for the flasher indikator

i have lots of pictures on the work and they will come up at my homepage some day

Do you happen to have a photoshop file with a scan of the original gauges that is the correct size that you would be willing to send me?

If you have a vinyl sign/print shop near you, you can produce professional quality gauges in nearly any color you wish. They can print a "foil" type of color onto a clear vinyl, then the print is attached to a clear 1/32" thick piece of Lexan plastic. To the back side, you can attach translucent (means that it allows light through) colors to make them glow any color you wish. I still have about 20 or so partial rolls of the translucent color for the gauges that I used to make... Hummmmm, maybe it's time to start it up again...

well i wanted to do that, but i couldent wait for that..*hehe* i wanted to put them into my car fast as possibility
I think laminating would be great beacouse they let the light shine thru plus i think the coulor would not fade so easy.

I know you can laminating in 2 ways as cold and warm
take the cold because print coulor would hold better

In sweden we have a crazy law who say we should se the numbers in our gaues at day,so there is why i put them white
but if i could choose,i should done the miles in blue, thats because the coulor at night should get more intense (like i did with the red numbers)the blue marking at day could dissapear in the black background so thats why i have them white today.

i have everything here in my home,so when i got the lust back to paste and cut i would laminate. its only take 10 minutes to get the gluster out of the car :-)

nice job. I read on here somewhere that there is a set of red needles that come on a Lexus that you can replace your with and they fit perfect. Not sure on which models though. Take a look around and see what you can come up with. again though very nice job.

im a little confused here. WHen your are making the gauges, if i have a white background, i can make the numbers say blue. ANd it will be fine in the day, but for night when the lights are on it wont shine blue so thats why i need the translucent paper behind it? i hope i got that right.

or if you take your needles off, scrape the paint from the underside and paint them whatever color you want....

the needles are clear with a layer of paint on the underside.
