Any body Using this type of MPFI
I was just wondering if anybody was using this type of Fuel injection. It is Multi Port injection with a 4bbl Throttle Body on a Single plane manifold.

After getting it running as spark only he decided that the ECM & wires in the passenger compartment had to go. So, I said, convert the intake to port and we'll use a '727 under the hood.
(An LT1 intake came and went sometime here too).
Currently all he has left to do is to mount the fuel pump. Then it is time to turn the key.
Here is a pic of the manifold & TB after the conversion. The TB has been completed as the throttle shafts, butterflys, IAC and TPS are not mounted in this pic.

Plenum can wind up being on the small side.
You often wind up with two different runner lengths.
Big advantage, is being able to use the 1-4 hole spacers to adjust the plenum volume, air velocity to optimise it.
I am in the process of doing the same thing with a Victor Jr intake, I'll let you know how it runs when I'm done.
We've got the injector bungs welded in and cleaned up and the Plenum pieces are all cut and waiting to be welded. I still have to modify the fuel lines to work and then locate the correct size O-rings for the injectors.
My heads are off and stripped, I'm gonna port them tomorrow. So, hopefully it'll be back together either this weekend or the next. My last sticking pionts are gonna be the valve job and getting my dad to find the time to weld the plenum together. Hopefully tomorrow on that one too
I'm going to be running a 500ci plenum, BTW. I've heard mixed reviews on that. Some people say to run a huge one, some say 50% ci of engine displacement, some don't run any.
As far as performance goes, it seems like the huge plenum would be best, as the engine could have a huge supply of air waiting as soon as I crack the throttle. The downside to that is a reported rougher idle. I can always make it smaller if it doesn't work well

There was a guy on here a while ago that was running the Lingenfelter setup, and he converted to a setup like I will be running. IIRC, his 1/4 mile time stayed the same, but his trap speed raised a couple mph.
I'm sure grumpy will remember him
He's got a MAF vette, and from reading his past posts they sure did get into it alot. He was banned though, and I never did find out why... Member

I'm going to use the new Victor EFI manifold with a huge, custom made plenum on my 383, in conjunction with an f-body LS1 type throttle body. It'll be a while though, patience, patience........
