March hood winer

I looked, and searched, but couldn't find the winner for March, just wondering who it was?

It was already announced, posted here and stickied, and recently deleted.

Personally, I question March's winner.

It doesnt matter how many posts he had guys hes a member and if he was a member before these draws all started (i think its dec '03 or so) then he gets the hood....i mean the guy had to enter just like you all did....they dont just pick a random member. you got to relize theres alot of members that surf here alot and dont post.
I mean i would like to know who the winner is i still cant fint anyone mention his name or anything...

can you rex edit "the april raffle" sticky to include the winner of march maybe???
Thanks again for the drawings these things are great!

His screenname is PantertA. And no offense meant to you jcurrie, but none of us have seen the winners from either raffle post here regarding the hood. There are such things as marketing scams; I personally would just like to see some proof. I'm not trying to start a war or anything.

Hum, sounds fishy to me, the only 2 winners have not been seen on the boards, but a few posts, can one of the 2 winners PLEASE post pics of you hood during the install phase, something to clear this up? PLEASE post anything, I would like to ask you what you had to do once you won the hood, (i.e. shipping, anything).

THANKS

That guy got busted and did not receive a hood that is when I started a new enrty link that required the members screen name and quite a bit of more information . I started the first drawing before Christmas and do 3 or 4 other board raffles a month, all with no problems . Rex

You people bitch when the winner isn't announced the second the month switches then, you bitch because the winner was announced and it wasn't you... wtf ?

You guys think that maybe... just maybe.. you're not going to see every member post everyday.
OR.. just maybe.. some people join only to PM someone, place an ad or etc. that requires being logged into the boards.
I was on this board almost a year before the fallout (under a different name) and maybe had 1-15 posts at best. Some members have been here since 1999 and still have under 100 posts. So what if they don't post alot.. that makes them not eligable ?

You're out nothing for not winning... get over it. Hell.. some people are hardly even appreciative that Rex gives the dammed things away to begin with.

There probably aren't as many crybabies on those boards either.

The last fiasco was someone who was trying to cheat the system, and it blew up all over him.

Rex didn't do anything shady!!!

What happened the first time, was that Rex announced the winner by posting part of the winners email address, and when the winner saw this, he would respond to him by showing him the full address that Rex showed only part of.

It was somewhat unclear how this was supposed to work the first time, so some dip decided to create a new screen name and try to claim the prize. It was all cleared up (as far as I know) when the winner found that post.

This month's winner was announced and it was stickied for a while. Dunno where it is now. As for who the winner was, he could only be entered if he sent Rex an email. He might not have alot of posts, but so what? He may be just a browser here, like I was for quite a while when I found the site.

I dunno why you guys are getting to stressed out over this, calm down!

deadbird, chill out. Like I said I just wanted some proof, and I got it, thanks to jgifford. Bitching about some of us wanting proof makes you as much a crybaby as any of us.

Thanks jgifford, and thanks Rex, hope I didn't offend you.

Well, I for one, greatly appreciate it. There's not many companies that would give away $400 - $500 every month, especially after what happened during the first raffle.

The link I posted above was the winner for February, and according to his post, he recieved his hood and is happy about it. That ought to be proof enough.

BTW, Rex, You don't happen to have any pictures of the new hoods you were working on do you?

EDIT: No problem Cayse, always glad to help a fellow third genner.

I won the drawing for February. I have posted on here to tell what hood I chose and to ask advise on how to get it aligned. I am on quite a bit, but only post when I have a question or something to say. I chose the ram air I, and it arrived a couple of weeks after the drawing. I plan on pictures after I get it lined up and fitting right. I just got some new hinges from ebay and I am waiting on them to arrive. As far as any other winner I have no idea about them.
gofaster you say you have questions, email me at tafirebird1986@aol.com and I will try to answer whatever I can.....

I agree with deadbird.

There are a lot of members on here who barely post and just come to read up on things. Once in a while, they may find something they can contribute more to than the "looks good" you get out of a lot of other members. Other times they just let other people handle things. Just because he hasn't posted in a long time doesn't mean he isn't active.

Rex- Has the winner claimed his prize yet?

I looked up the winner with the Moderator Control Panel and heres what I found. This should prove that just because he hasn't posted in a while doesn't mean he isn't active:
