My Big Project is DONE

Whew, just finished it tonight, another project is complete. Heres what I did:

Front end rebuild:
Inner and outer tie rods, centerlink, idler arm and balljoints. I used the coleman racing hex tubing and jam nuts for the tie rods instead of the stock stuff.

I removed the A-arms, wire wheeled them and painted them with POR-15, installed poly bushings on them as well.

Replaced the springs with Hotchkiss springs and replaced the stuts with koni reds to match whats out back. I also replaced the upper strut mounts, the old ones were fine but while I was doing everything else, thought I might as well.

Finally I totally redid the Brakes. I installed C4HD brakes with 13" crossdrilled and slotted rotors, dual piston PRB calipers and Earls SS brake lines.

I have to go get an alignment tomarrow and take her for a spin.

Yes I went with the ones with a 1" drop. I wanted a little less fendergap, but I don't want too much of a drop so I screw up my chin, especially with the angled and inclined driveway I have.

Well so much for getting the car aligned today. I went to the shop and they said there was no one there to do it. I was going to drive to another about five miles away but I didn't want to go there only to be turned away again. But as I was walking back to the car I must say the stance is very nice with the new springs. I did not expect such a change as the old and new springs looked very similar in height, was I wrong! Unfortunately my airdam scraped everytime I enter or exit the garage What a scary sound.

I have got to get it aligned and see what she can do.

Chris

-Whoops almost forgot, as far as the rotors, ask Ed (ebmiller88).

Yeah I have taken it off before, though I didn't know it was that cheap for a new one. The reason the sound bothers me so much is that I am never sure if it is the airdam or the front ground effect.
