WBO2 GP Purchase

I am not sure if this is the proper way to do this on this forum. If it is great, if not then tell me what needs to be changed and it will be.

I need one of those cool WB O2 setups. I have contacted http://www.zeitronix.com/index.html. This is the same unit that was purchased under the last GP that Ken did a couple of months back.

If anyone is interested please send me a email.

Here is the info I recevied from Zietronix. They also mentioned that they would create a page to handle the transaction so I will not be collecting any funds.

10 units:
Zt-2 Bundle $250
Zt-2 Bundle with the LCD display $360

20 units
Zt-2 Bundle $240
Zt-2 Bundle with the LCD display $350

Accessories
EGT Sensor
You probably already have one from your EGT gauge! We supply Zt-2 style 2 pin connector to retrofit your EGT probe. $60

Boost Sensor $130

Shipping Continental US by UPS ground $10
Shipping to Canada $21
Shipping International $38

WB..

Cool.

Am going to buy one pretty soon anyway, and found that this link, http://www.zeitronix.com/gb/ shows all group buys. You have to click on the ***.HTM files to open them. Some are closed, but one or two are still open. From different sites, of course, but...

How soon will this be happening? Depends on how quick all respond, I guess..

You won't be sorry, it's a great little unit. Did more for my tune in 5 chips that 3 months worth of guessing.

lol, cool. Hey, quick questions on teh ZT -

1) can I use it in place of the NB? Like, will it simulate the NB, and does that cause any trouble?

2) If I wanted to weld 2 bungs in, one for the stock NB, and one for the WB, is there any distance between them, or relation between them, that I need to be aware of?

From reading on thier website, I do not think you can use it in place of the NB. The output from the ZT2 is 0-5 volts. and it is linear. The NB outputs 0-1v, and its non linear. I dont think the output on the zt2 is re-scalable.

But this is just from reading, so someone else probably has a better idea.

((Edit:After reading a copy of the installation instructions, it shows an output/wire for narrowband simulation for a factory ECU, but so far thats all the information I can find on that function.))

I'm in. I was looking into buying one anyway. Might as well try and save $50.

Count me in if you get this going soon.

I believe the NB output works based on other threads around here. I plan to replace my NB and put the ZT-2 in place and read the WB in parallel.

Do you guys think the LCD is worth bothering with? If the AFR vs. voltage is pretty linear (the whole point), then you could just hook up a volt meter and save the cash.

I passed on the LCD, but am mostly interested in logging the data for later study.

if you just use an simple voltmeter, you will have to have a chart handy as to what equates with what. IMHO, easier to just log it and look later.

And the AFR changes fast. Never realized how much it could change in so short a time.

seems that 64 samples a second is about the top update speed. But thats a lot.

Yeah, I just placed my order and passed on the LCD too. The AFR vs. volts must be pretty linear though, right? I guess I didn't search for it on the site before ordering, but if it was too wild it would kind of defeat the purpose. As long as it's fairly linear, then I could use the volts to get a quick idea, like "really lean", "kinda lean", "sorta rich", etc. Like you say, for good data, I'll just use the laptop.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have tried to get ahold of Zeitronics but my emails have gone unanswered.

So I guess plan B. If you have an an option on another GP go for it.
