dont give up just call them up and then come up with a plan of attack to either get this car fixed or get another TA up and running with your lt1 by thirdgen fest

Dam that sucks. Could have been worse. The core supports are not bad to replace. But if u are doing that at home. I would take it apart and take it to a bodyshop to let them pull it first. From the looks of it its down and back. ( the upper rail and lower one) If thats not pulled out were it needs to be.U are going to have a hell of a time lineing the hood up to the bumpers and fenders. If u want i can get u frame specs so u can mussure it out. Let me know.

eh... after taking a real good look, the whole front of the car will have to be replaced. everything is destroyed... thinking about finding a decent trans am no motor/ trans and taking the fenders and whatnot off of it...

this better be her fault!

That sucks man.

I had my 87 442 ko'ed in the rear from a retard not paying attention.

Start finding parts now and fight with the insurance slappies if you have to, they dont like people who argue with them(hint)

later

man, I feel your pain. But dont worry. I did this:

And now I've got it almost completely fixed. For only a few hundred bucks. And that includes the paint I have sitting in the basement, waiting to be sprayed, AND the extra 50 bucks I spend on a shaker hood scoop that's in the mail... I managed to REPAIR that huge tear in the bumper cover. You'd never know it's there. And the fender? I couldnt find a Trans Am fender in the JY so I got a Firebird fender, and I cut them both in half and welded them together so I would still have the Trans Am scoop.

Good luck.

that hydralic do-hickey was one of the most amazing tools i have ever used! that core support was pushed back in no time.....ok 5 hours....but in body work time, thats no time. not to mention that the car was mobile again in short order! plus we got sympathy chicken legs from your work! remind me to give council a call about the donner T/A.

well... we beat the hell out of it just to get it back on the road... waiting for the damn police report, for some reason it hasn't been filled out by the cop, and she didn't consider it heavy damage, though it was totalled out. And waiting to find out how much its gonna be to buy the car back.

so far plans are:
4" Cowl Hood - 450
Front tires / allignment - 375
Doner T/A from portage - 500
Paint / Paint supplys - 250

Time + money = Pain-in-the-***

No Way it'll be looking nice by thirdgen unless they cut the check this weekend!!!!

Paint wise, I still need to find someone to blend the damn fenders and hood!!!

Thanks to everyone with all the suport and help so far, gotta get this machine pretty again!!

you really should get that 87 firebird, screw the fender vents. but thats just my opinon, besides Coult said it might have rust in the fender that council did not notice. ethier way, we need to turn your car from Pretty ugly back to pretty asap. hard to crusie with out all three of us.....
