What has happened to my car???!!

My weatherstripping surrounding the windshiled just became REALLY oxidized just in this past week, i am trying to figure out what caused it, first, i put some NXT Tech wax on the car last week and it says not to get any on rubber, which i accidently did here, but why would it do this from wax?? second, on my way home from the mountains(also last week) i was cruising at about 80 for a few hours and the winds in the dessert were about 70 mile an hour gusts, could that have caused this???how do i fix it???

Go to Autozone, buy "Mothers Back To Black". Apply and be happy

Wait, is this something that i will have to apply constantly to cover it up, or does it completely remove it??

You apply it onces and it last for a long time. Ive had it on my bumper inserts and they still look the same after a few months
