Welcome Me To The Dual Exhaust Club :D
got my exhaust done last week, figured I'd snap some pics....i wish i could've got some when it was still up on the hoist, but that will be next week when the guy has to weld the o2 sensor bung in...i'll make sure to snap some better ones then....but what I have is headman Longtube Headers, 1 5/8 prims with 3" collectors...then 2.5" H pipe, daul 2.5" exhaust pipe and dual 2.5" spintech pro street mufflers, offset in/center out....then some turndowns to top it off....the pipe was custom bent by a local shop, and he tucked it up real nicely...the lowest point is probably back by the tips because it seems that is where it scraped on the ride home...the car isn't running yet, so we had to tow it to and from the exhaust, and my dad took some bumpier roads to test it out, and it didn't scrap on nothin, not even over train trakcs....however it did scrape once in my alley cuz i forgot to swirve for this huge pothole....and just one of the turn down nicked the ground....so all and all, the ground clearance is real good, considering the car is lowered with sportline springs also...so thats about a 1.75" drop, and all the tires had about 15 pounds of pressure in them, so that didn't help out at all either...let me know what ya'll think...

...i can't wait till it starts up....i think i could gain another inch or more if i dropped the exhaust and pounded in the rear seat pans....is there anything i could majorly harm by doing this?

does it disrupt the seat or anything on the inside? whats the purpose of having a giant bubble under the rear seats...whats inside of it, just open air?? did you gain a lot by pounding it in?

Underneath the seats are just bubbled to fit the contours of the bottom of the seat. Hammering it will just make it not sit quite as flush- but you can always trim the foam on the bottom of the seat if you have to.

okay...well soon or later i'm gonna take the rear seats out, make a giant fiberglass thing that butts up against the back of the front seats....maybe if i get ambitious somebody i'll hit it up..we'll see how much stuff i scrape on....hopefully when i get the 18's on it'll bump the ride height up a bit more...
klumb15, what about the inspection laws in your area? I was considering the turn down approach, but, here in Pa. the law says that your exhaust must exit from underneath the car. In other words, it would be illegal in my state. My car is exempt, as I have no smog equipment. We can get a smog exempt if your car sees less than 5000 miles anually. I would be willing to try a system like that, but knowing my luck, a state trooper would catch me, and I would get either a warning, and have to get it reinspected, or just a fine.

It'd be illegal in MA. Hasn't everyone heard of oval tubing yet? Or oval regular tubinh yourself. 3" wide, 1-1/2" tall. Ground clearance up the wazoo.. or run two pipes in the stock location.
I never get these half *** attempts. If it's to save money, you have the wrong hobby... even if you own a thirdgen (Or just buy a mustang). It looks silly and is probably universally illegal.
