I heard they sound real hard. That would be awsome if flames came out the tail pipes when you mash out

But i really have no idea, I doubt it as well. www.restoreclassics.com sells a flame thrower kit IF you want the car to do that. Joined: Mar 2000

Like everyone said, most likely not. But if you happen to have a rich tune, with no cat, and a straight through muffler, there is a slight chance once in a while I guess.

my carb setup is runnin rich... during shifts or hard decel it spits out flames from the cutout (were cat used to be) but i don't think it's ever done that through the muffler...

Unless your running open headers with way too little timing your not going to see flames. If the motors running right, all the flames should be in the cylinders where they belong.

it probably will not shoot flames out of the pipe. If you have not cat and a straight through pipe it may shoot a flame, especially if you have it running really rich.

To get flames you should put a hole in each exhaust pipe and put a spark plug in each hole, then wire it to a switch somewhere on the dash.

So in essence you want to put a resonator in place of the cat. Never a good idea flow wise. No doubt - it won't shoot flames.
