True dual thru factory channel
I have head of, and seen a picture one of true dual 2.5" pipes run thru the factory location. Does anyone have this type of setup? Can anyone post pictures of this setup? I would like to go that route because I plan on lowering my car and I want true dual without scraping on speed bumps.

A few days too late. I had this on my Berlinetta but I just had it towed off to the yard. I don't believe I have any pics of it. If done properly there will be excellent ground clearance.

that exhaust is so perfect it should be an option for our 3rd gens, I DEMAND IT! not everyone has the time or money to play around with pipe to get it just right , ya know what I mean? Someone could make mad money off that set up. Thats real nice. How was it done?

Thanks for the compliments!
How was it done?
I just had to find the right person who would attempt it. I was fortunate. It did take him three hours though. Here's one more not on the website.

I had this exhaust installed years ago, so let me rattle my brain first.... I spared no expense. Anyone can come up with a similar setup for far less $$$. Let me explain, starting with the mufflers. Mine are custom-length, chambered Stainless Works mufflers. I think the non-polished, standard length units are around $125 each. It was extra for the polishing and even more for the custom length. You can use any straight-through design that's far less $$$.
I bought mandrel bends from Summit. I think I bought six "U" bends but can't remember for sure. Not necessary.
I bought a pair of Flowmaster Y's because I wanted a clean "X" or crossover pipe. I think these were about $37 each. Again, not necessary.
I bought a pair of factory '94 Z28 tips. They are stainless. I had them chrome plated. Not necessary.
$300 for necessary straight pipe sections and labor to weld it all together.

Hi
Nice way to do it and thanks for telling "how to"!
Have some questions anyway.
Do you have some more pictures from the "over axle" section, and from the "trans section"?
Since you have got al parts from the dealer I would try this set up, but will put in a X-over. (can't see you have one)
If you don't have a picture from the "trans-section" can you explain how yoy did route the tubes from Y-pipe to the Intermediate Pipes.
I thank you for helping others!
Ingar

What would be the cats **** would be combining your 2's engineering / inginuity into an option / parts list for a hooker 2210 LT exhaust (like mine
) I'm going to attempt this once the weather gets warmer and I can work longer than 15 minutes in my garage before my fingers and peepee goes numb......kidding on the fingers part.

hi zNucleaRz
I was wondering how is your sound with the Dynomax Race Bullets located there?
high or "OK"?
maybe it is more like "if it's to loud, your'e too old"
I am building this now, and I have to deside where to put the mufler...

Re: True dual thru factory channel
Any dual exhaust sound clips? I'm trying to figure out what the benefits are, of true duals. Just sound? A single 3", I think flows more cfm than dual 2.5"s. And there's no doubt, true dual WEIGH more, which could offset any hp/performance gain.
