What does a non AC V6 look like?

I am removing the AC but the diagram under hood of my car is not correct for either AC with smog pump or non AC. Anyone have a pic of their V6 mpfi motor belt routing with no AC?

It "looks" like it would be hot and sweaty...

Actually I do not believe it was an option ever to not run at least a delete dummy pulley like this one on my truck.

It is made for the 3rd gen V8's and will fit on both my truck and our V6 Camaros in place of the A/C compressor.

It is just a different routing of the belt according to my belt diagram under the hood.

mine has the alternator on the pass side, so i didn't need a delete pulley, just removed the smog pump. if you want i think i can get a pic of it when i get the engine back in the car!!!!! i hate clutches.... had to take the entire engine and tranny out just to change the clutch....

We've had this discussion before.

The power steering pump is up higher on non a/c cars so the belt clears the crank pulley.

Nothing is more annoying than seeing someone come in here saying "I'm doing this" and "I've got that". It is not helpfull to anyone without showing pictures of what you are doing and how the progress is going.

Anyone can talk crap like you do and claim they don't have any way to get pictures. $6 throw-away camera and have the photo shop develop them onto a disc.

Otherwise- I don;t want to hear anymore about WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSEDLY DOING. Talk is cheap.

You sound like a 6 year old making his Xmas wish list with $100K in toys

Am I alone on this one? Lets hear from others.
Its like every single post topic on here I go in to read.

Ah thanks Bru333, that is helpful, didn't know it was brought up before, guess I didn't type in right thing when I did a search.

In case anyone was wondering why I am removing AC:

1) Used grand total of 11 times over 6 year history.

2) Something fails on it every year requiring service way beyond
simple recharging and checking for leaks.

3) Causes too much of a rpm fluctuation at idle and then
eventually stalling the car.

4) When it did work right, by time it actually got cold I was
already where I wanted to be and the sun would heat up my
cabin again in matter of seconds.

5) I live in central IL, plan on moving to northeast in few years so
it is only unbearable couple days of the year during middle
of the day.

6) Thirdgen will not be my daily driver forever so I will get a car
that definately has cold working AC in it.

7) I just enjoy removing something from engine bay that makes
it look so much cleaner if its never used. EX. cruise control.

8) Give me more space options in case I ever get the money and
fabrication together for a supercharger, lol yeah that's a real
possibility

But yeah thanks for the help.

Dean,

Not everyone has time to put up pictures, even if they say they would. I assume most people get busy doing something and just don't have the time or forget. And other times uploading or linking a pic doesn't work. I am patient and usually hope someone else will post a pic if already not done so, such as the case here .
