Don't Say it can't happen to you....

Because it can happen to you. I use to say the same I know. Today my good condition 1992 RS Camaro bit the dust. Totaled in a T-Bone accident, me t-boning a Ford Pickup. They are saying its my fault not sure, can't remember the lights just the truck. Everyone appears to be fine, I am a little sore from the air bag but nothing to bad. Happened today at 12:00 or so.

Proof that you should always be extremly careful while driving.

Sorry to hear about the car, but steel can be replaced, flesh and bone not so much.

Glad you're OK.

Any thoughts on a replacement? Were you fully insured? Going after another 3rdgen or haven't you even thought that far yet?

I have started thinking about another car, maybe like a cheap 3rd gen. Then again I also thought about an El Camino, but mostly I want an F-Body.

What I probably going to do is get a cheap camaro, swap over what ever needs to be sawpped and then part out the wreck for whatever good parts. From the fenders back is fine so...

But just like you said steel can be replaced, flesh and bone can't.

what ever is past the fenders is good pertty much except the driver side quarter had some dings in it from a hit and run done on my car in high school, and the two front seats are saggy(foam). The motor still runs, igintion jammed, the driver side marker light has one scratch, the trans should be find, and so should by the barkes and some suspension stuff.

I going to get another camaro first and then get the parts i need and sell the rest.

Thx for your concerns again.

I feel your pain man. Sorry about your loss. Your plan of getting another third gen, swapping parts and parting out the rest is probably the best way. That is what Im doing with my trans am. These last few months have been pretty bad. Ive seen four post of totalled third gens At least your not hurt, but I know from experience its hard to look at the aftermath and spin it in a positive way.

Wow.. that car is messed up Glad you are ok!

I was T-boned in the car in my sig... the car should have totaled by the time the body shop was done - fortunately they were already halfway thru repairs before the insurance adjustor was supplemented by the body shop - at that point they had to finish fixing it. I got lucky!
