here's the back. the hardest part is right around the curves. i almost cut it too narrow to cover. if you do that it is a wasted 6 hours or so... I put 2 layers of fiberglass cloth on the backside and put 2 thick coats of water resistant glue over it. Then secured the edges of the headliner material with the same glue so it would stay put. It ws a lot of work but it saved a lot of money.

Looks good buddy!!
Why did you glass it? Was the cloth coming down and did the board itself bend? While taking headliners down I've come across 2 different types of t-top headliners--one is more delicate then the other--seems to me the best one GM used(more forgiving)is like a fiberglass material(cloth)--looks like(a little-kind of)the glass that you put around a hot water heater--sorry, but that's the only way that I can describe it. Looks like the same kind of fiberous material.
I hope someone knows what I'm talking about.

Thanks!

The old headliner material had separated from the t top board and when I took out the headliner, it broke in two pieces right by the dome light. I wanted to be sure that it would not break again is why I glassed it. It is VERY stout now and with the water resistant glue, it isn't likely to be weakened by moisture. I have only seen on type of headliner board myself, but i know what the water heater stuff is.

Man--I'm glad someone knew what I was talking about!!
The t-top board I have in my car now is that same type(water heater type)it's very forgiving w/o snapping.

Thats cool, I never thought of reinforcing the board with fiberglass. I scored a different one from a boneyard out of a 91. I keep hesitating to put it in until I solve the leaky T-tops first.

I got it at Auto Zone for $30. The brand name is Headsup. I used Permatex professional grade headliner and carpet adhesive, it was $8.
