looking for polishing
I'm looking for a business to send out my plenum, runners, and intake to get polished. Where do you guys recommend? What are you experiences and feedback from places you've sent stuff? Thanks.

Dude you should go down to the biggest truck stop near you and find the most pimped out semi, and ask the owner who does his polishing. Most truck stops/ washes do in house polishing, and you might get that stuff done for a cheap price.

I used to do pollishing and it was a two day job for a tpi set up. The plenum is not hard to pollish but the runners and the intake-It sucks. Most people polish the plenum and have the runners and intake ceramic coated with an almost chrome finish. Thatts the cheapest. But if you want the whole thing polished your looking at 300+.

Re: looking for polishing
...for the record I went with TPI383/CE Coatings to do this job for me. The result was horrible. See this page for all the details;

Re: looking for polishing
I tried to polish my TPI rig myself and it was a beautiful disater. I scratched the living hell out of my plenum and gave up after that.
I found Rick's Custom Polishing in Washington state:
http://www.fastcoolcars.com/TPI-polished-and-more.htm
I think he did a real good job. I sent him all of MY parts and got back exactly what I shipped, only shiney! He polished my plenum, runners, and water neck. Powdercoated the fuel rails and manifold.
He has complete sets to buy or you can send him your stuff. The price seems reasonable considering how difficult a reputable vendor is to come by.
I will probably have him do my accessory brackets too when it comes time for aluminum pulleys.
