Re: world class t-5 swap, posi unti pics inside
This was the response I got after asking a simple question as nice I could. Would you expect to pick a trans up for $450 that has a stripped drain plug that nobody mentioned. He didn't say anything about it, I saw it when I got there. I didn't think it was that bad until I got home, and the price of the drain plug isn't the question, it's whether or not you could get it out, and I did.
This is what I asked
"I wonder what else i'm going to find when I install the trans. I got the drain plug out, but I don't know why you wouldn't have let me know that it was stripped. When I saw it, I didn't think it was totally stripped. I wonder if it was rebuilt, and if it was behind a 305 after the rebuild like you said. But who cares now it's over and done with. thanks"
Then I get the response
"think what you want the trans was rebuilt.! I had the trans fluid changed at a shop when I didnt have time to do it and some moron stripped the plug. a plug costs what? 2 dollars maybe and it was behind a stock 305!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I'm guessing he didn't want to admit he's a worse mechanic then I am. Take blame for your actions. How am I supposed to believe the trans was rebuilt if you didn't show a receipt, and you didn't tell me about the drain plug, because you are too embarrased to admit you didn't realize. Thank you

If you noticed the plug was stripped why didn't you mention it to me? were you scared? I'm not going to say this again the trans works perfectly if you know how to drive, which you probably do not. Anyone else would get frustrated if you keep getting asked the same ?'s over and over again, eventually a person will get pissed off.

Torque arm threads were damaged also, but yes you are a good mechanic. Can't wait to see how long the trans lasts, thank you for a smooth transaction.

And no, I will not mind my own business. How you are acting right now will strongly affect the outcome of you trying to sell anything more, especially because of my new thread about you:

Re: world class t-5 swap, posi unti pics inside
you cant even read correctly fagot!!! I do not care at this point everybody wants something for nothing anyway. I do not understand why Im getting crucified, This is a used t-5 not new. The transmission that I sold was rebuild around 3 years ago I only put around ten thousand miles on it. I told the guy that, it was also in a stock 88 Irocz with a stock 305 tpi. The oil drain plug is not even worth arguing about, I found the receipt yesterday. you try finding a receipt from 3 years ago. I do not sell junk If everyone thinks that I am such a scam artist then check out my ebay feedback it is all 100% positive with no negative and I sold engines, transmissions, and cars with all satisfied buyers. I have also bought and sold things from this site with no other problems until now. So dont jump on your boyfriends bandwagon ***!!

I'm not talking about the quality of your parts, or how good your feedback score is.. that has nothing to do with what I am talking about.
I am talking about how you are handling this situation, telling the guy who bought from you to "keep on whining!! waaaaaaaaa"
That is completely immature and childish, all of the name calling is ridiculous. I don't care if you are a good seller or not, your personality sucks. If that is how you are going to treat someone who buys from you, or better yet a customer, then no thank you, I will get better service somewhere else.
I believe others are going to feel the same way.

Thanks at least someone agrees.
I've got screwed before worse then this. I'm used to it at this point. It's funny how i've only put about 25 miles on it, and when downshifting into third it doesn't want to go sometimes. My other t5 has a good ammount of mileage, and abuse, it's funny I never had one problem downshifting into third. It was also a NWC.
If he lived closer i'd probably get arrested, but I don't care anymore i'm over it. It's my fault for buying a used trans from a white trash person. But i'm the white trash one for driving a subaru. Remember, you are what you drive.

heres my 2 cents on this situation i actually went to buy this trans when it was in the car not to long ago but had money problems and deal fell through, and i drove it prolly 25 miles under exceleration and decel with no problems what so ever, it isnt a cable clutch maybe you have air in the system and need to bleed it correctly is what it sounds on why it is doing that as far as the other little problems not really a big deal easy cheap fix

Looks like all "little things" that have gotten blown out of proportion to me
If someone inspectes a part in person than hands over thier $$ than - that's it - done deal. If you inspect the part and pay for it than you thought it was worth the price. The plug and threads should have been spoted - the problems were not internal. All a person selling something can do is to inform the buyer of everything they know about the part, and not not omit any details.
Don't think I'm pointing a finger either way here,...... just seems like you guys had to big a chip on your shoulder and took "venting" a bit further than you should have. The buyer is right 'cause there was an unknown problem found after the purchase - the seller is right 'cause he didn't lie and gave you what you inspected. The buyer was wrong for questioning the claims after the sale and the seller was wrong for getting to mad - to fast.
There's talk about trading punches over this;
Come on guys - Chill out !

It has nothing to do with my hydraulic clutch. I took one trans out and put the other in, that's it. There was no problem with the other one, and the hydraulics weren't touched.
I'm wrong for questioning claims after the sale, ok. If someone fails to mention two small problems, how can you believe it has 10k on a rebuild?
And like I said before I would get arrested, your muscles mean nothing, you probably can't fight to save your life.
