yes, I was going to put it in my monte but ended up finding a turnkey setup and abandoned my first build. It is still in the box i recieved it in, I believe.

On further thought, you will have to push the dowel pin on the cam in further. I also believe that it will only work on the blocks with the bosses in the lifter valley to bolt the spider tray/lifter hold down to.

Just how quiet is this gear drive? Will I have to hear it all the time, or will nobody ever notice it? I assume it's for a roller cam...

This cam WILL work with a late model gen 1 block, but you need to make sure that it has the bosses in the lifter valley... Correct me if I am wrong, but I think only single piece rear main blocks have the roller bosses

I never ran it, so I can't attest to the loudness so I am only going off of what I was told in the above thread.

Pics will be up tomorrow!

to answer the qustion about the gear drive: quiet gear drives were developed to be used on roller motors that utilize a knock sensor so it wont produce the harmonics to trip the knock sensor. they are very quiet, i had one on my 305, and i really had to wind her out to hear anything. thats why ther's no noisey gear drive avail. for a roller motor.

Thanks for the info, SSP6. I'm definitely interested in it then. What do you want for the gear drive shipped to 27530?
