Re: 115mph and 145mph Camaro clusters

I'm interested in the 115 mph one.
Is it from a V6 or a V8?

Re: 115mph and 145mph Camaro clusters

really? I've only seen the 80psi gauge on v6 cars... all v8's are 60psi

I'm pretty sure that if you use a v6 tach on a v8 car, the tach will be off

The white sticker came like that. You right it did show only 60psi. The sticker just shows more lol

Re: 115mph and 145mph Camaro clusters

so it's a v6 sticker on a V8 tach? i'm glad I didn't buy it. I was thinking about it and I would have been disappointed

I don't know why you would of disappointed.... The tach is the same the only difference is that the oil pressure. Which if you look at it it's more over to one side. So if the v8 had 80psi it would be correct.

the tach is electronic and gets its signal from the Distributor, i dont think they are calibrated like a speedo would be with a gear

the resistors are different for the two engines. they are only interchangable if you dont care about them working LOL

ive put Harbor Freight cheapie tach's into V8 and V6 thirdgens, just tapped into the signal wires from the dizzy and they always read the same

as long as the RPM range is the same, when the Dizzy is reading a certain RPM(i.e. 1000) it should show up as 1000 on either tach because 1000 is in the same position on both tach's, and 1000 RPM is 1000 RPM in any motor, again just as long as the tach's match perfectly, if they dont match or if they were mechanical i could understand them not reading correctly
