B/W 9 Bolt 3.45 Posi w/ Big 11.6" PBR Brakes
SOLD - This is a 1 year-only rearend. Prior to 1989, disc brake 9 bolts had 10.5" brakes. In 1990, they discontinued the 9 bolt and went with the 10 bolt exclusively.
The 11.6" PBR brakes are the same as the 1LE brakes. People often mistakenly refer to them as 12" brakes
The 3.45 ratio is also hard to come by. In my opinion, 3.45 is the best ratio for a street car. With a 10 bolt 3.42, my Formula is going into 4th gear at the 1,000 foot mark in the 1/4 mile, I can come off of corners aggressively on a road course or autocross without looping it, and I can still get 26 mpg cruising on long highway trips at 75-80 mph.
Obviously, the calipers will need to be rebuilt or replaced, but the cores are there, which saves quite a bit on core charges
Also, the rotors have a lot of material on them, so they can be turned.
This is as much brake as you'll ever need on a street Camaro or Firebird. Go with ebmiller88's C4 or C5 'Vette brake upgrade on the front and you'll have a car whose stopping power will blow you away. http://www.flynbye.com/catalog/c1_p1.html
It even has the "weathered" patina so popular among the "Rat Rod" set. I think that'll be the next big trend among the third-gen community. You can be ahead of the game here; a trendsetter.

To the best of my knowledge, the posi is good. This rearend came out from under an '89 Camaro with around 90,000 miles on it that belonged to a friend of mine. Both wheels pulled in a straight line, and unlocked in the corners.
He wrecked the car in 2004 (front end, not rear), and pulled the rearend, transmission, engine, etc. to swap into another car. The car he found already had a 9 bolt, so he left this one out in the weather (hence the "patina") as a spare. I got it from him in 2006, and have had it in my garage ever since.
All I can tell you is I'm a square dealer. I've sold a few things on here recently, and I believe everyone who has bought anything from me would tell you I am honest and more than fair, especially the guy I gave an immediate, full refund to when UPS lost his cam, even though I didn't owe it. I'm seanof30306 on ebay, too. I don't have a lot of feedback, but it's 100% positive.
If you want to come to Tulsa to look at it, you're welcome to pull the cover and inspect it. If I'm going to meet you in Ft. Smith with it, though, I'll have to get payment upfront, and you'll have to buy me a sausage biscuit from Carl's Jr.
I work weekends, so the only days I could meet you on would be Mondays, Tuesday, or Wednesdays. I'm going out of town this next Mon-Tue-Wed, so the first time I'd be available to do it would be Monday, August 9th

I am looking to put the 1LE rears on my 85 IROC race car. Still looking for the mounting plates. Do they just bolt right on?
