think they are the same from 87-92 but not certain, got a good one from a 89 gta 100 bucks shipped

 

'92 is different, the frame is a different size and mechanically they're just totally different from the rest of them.

 

I ahve one from a 1992 firebird 110.00 shipped

 

do you just need the motor or the motor and housing i have a spare motor only if you need it

 

the whole housing never trusting shady peeps lol im getting one from blue zee thinks to all

 

my housing broke into 4 pieces due to other people slamming my trunk instead of pulling it till it clicked my motor was fine though but i got the whole housing and motor new with a warranty for 50 and free shipping on ebay and it works perfectly, thats why i said if you need just the motor you can have it just pay shipping but good luck fellow firebirder!

 

'88 is completely different than '92 hatch pull down units. I'd imagine the motors are different as well.

 

i cant waist any more precious brain power with imagining anything else so good luck with that one

I'm not saying that I know 100% that they are not in fact the same motor. Without knowing both part numbers you can't tell me that they're the same just as much as I can't say for sure though.

It doesn't really matter either way though, because he said he doesn't want to put a new motor on his he'd rather buy a complete unit.

Check with the dealership. I got the sensor new for 19.00

 

thats the sensor? i found a used one for $38 its the Reversing Switch for a 91, its pretty expensive, id rather not buy used though :\

 

no different. Go to the dealership parts department they will be able top find one if available

Its called a reversing relay. Checdk with the dealer parts department.
