Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
Got a set of Edelbrock headers & Y for L69. ( 4-bolt cat ). They have AIR pipes that are capped. I'll dig them out for pics if your seriously interested.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
I'll keep that in mind, but really looking for the stock look. I've already got the L69 Y. The manifolds that came with that purchase were, unfortunately, not correct...
This would be for my berlinetta project. Stock 305. Went with a cam comparable to the L69 cam, just want it to breathe a little easier.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
I've got a set of TPI exhaust manifolds too. I'm almost positive that they are same as the size as the L69, but there's no "spacer" on the pass side like the carb version requires. Air pipes are on them, but I'm not sure if the AIR valves face the same direction from TPI-vs-carb.

I also have a perfect set of tpi manifolds with perfect AIR tubes if anyone needs a set. 100 bucks. great shape and ready to bolt on

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
Can you post a pic of the right side manifold showing the flange, while I research to see if they'll bolt to the L69 y? I want to keep the EFE and I'm thinking that the TPI used a spacer there in its place?
I would maybe use my LG4 manifolds with the L69 y but the right manifold is slightly different in its turn down to the y connection at the EFE.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
Can either confirm the following casting numbers:
83-85 (305G,7) 14075611 LH, manifold w/ht stove, exh
83-85 (305G,7) 14071200 RH, maniold, exh
I got these from JamesC and have read that the L69 and some TPI manifolds were the same.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
Here's the TPI set-up, AIR tubes, check valves & O2 still installed, Studs need to be replaced, $75 + shipping.

3 1/2" from the bottom of the second-to-last hole to the edge of the flange.
The AIR pipe check valve might point in a different direction than on Carb or TBI cars. There's also no "stove" pipe for the carb air cleaner.
I was also wrong about the spacer....... these TPI manifolds (from an 85) uses a hollow spacer. Carb spacer has a smaller port & has a valve in it; TBI is hollow, but has the same small port as the Carb version. If you need the TPI spacer too please add $10.
P.S. I had L69 Manifolds / Y before installing them into an 83Z. When I had that set-up I compared them right next to the TPI parts and they did appear to have the same fit. That's when I discoverd that Carb/TBI was the same and that crossfire manifolds were different from all others.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
That measurement is 3" on my LG4 logs. I'm going to do a little research and try to mock up the exhaust over the weekend and maybe get more comfortable that these will work. Can you measure the ID of the flanges, maybe?
Appreciate your patience. You've helped me out more than once.

Sure thing,
I'll get that measurement for you tomorrow. If I can my hands on a set of LG4's I'll try to get comparison pics.....

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
I checked into this a little today. First; I found this post that I wrote shortly after installing the exhaust in my 83 Z ( used a factory L69 4-bolt cast Y-pipe: )
The pictures I posted a few days back show the exhaust manifolds from an 85TPI car. Here is a comparison of a pass side from another TPI(86) as well as a LG4 pass manifold:
I think this picture shows an serpentine Lb9 pass side manifold and a TBI pass side manifold. It's the same as the earlier TPI manifold - but with the AIR pipes facing a different direction.
The inside of the LB9 and L69 Flange ports are 1/4" larger than the LG4 and LO3 flange ports. ( Looked like 1 3/4" and 2" - depending on how it''s measured !
IIRC I think all V6 manifolds are the same,....... some don't have ANY smog provisions and smog tubes might be different from engine to engine.
LG4 and LO3 manifolds are the same size.
CFI manifolds are the same size as LG4's - but the pass flange is specific to CFI.
L69, LB9 and L98 manifolds are the same size.
The heat-riser ( or Spacer ) are also different sizes to match the size of the flange on the pass side manifold. ( L69 is bigger then LG4's )
* Not thinking smog tubes here, They are different based on the engine.
Correct. FYI: There's a pair of LB9 manifolds bolted to a stock L69 Y-Pipe ( oval Cat ) in my 83 Z28. The angle of the L69 manifold was the same as the angle of the LB9.
LG4 and LO3 manifolds are the same size.

However, the passengers side manifolds dump at a different angle.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
Cool. PM me a cost shipped to 29073. I've got some funds in my paypal I can use if that's good.
I've already got a spacer for the pass side manifold to y (found it in the bay of a TPI motor someone else had pulled the manifolds off of). I'll hopefully be able to swap the air pipes over from one of the couple of LG4 manifolds I have.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
I used the USPS Website;
Priority mail / Insurance / DC = $48
Parcel Post / Insurance / CD = $26
Cool that you've got the spacer, they aren't always easy to find so I'm glad to keep one hanging around for future use !
I'll send You a PM in a few minutes.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
If anyone still needs L69 mainfolds I have a set complete with AIR tubes. I also have a set of TPI manifolds with AIR tubes. I also have the Y-pipe and I'm pretty certain I have the spacer needed. I can provide pictures just let me know.

Re: L69 Exhaust Manifolds Wanted
I realize this is a very old thread, but if anyone has these, or only the right side. Please let me know. I could also use the spacer.
Thanks, Andy
