I just remembered I haven't tested the backlight bulbs on this unit. I do not know if they work. If this is a dealbreaker, sorry.

The aux input would be a cord with a female stereo plug (regular headphone-style jack) on the end that will come from the back of the stereo (can make as long as you need). When an audio source is plugged into the cord it would interrupt the radio and play the audio source you have plugged in at much better quality than an FM transmitter or tape adapter.

Here's an example of one I did with a faceplate install. This 5-band stereo doesn't have room for a faceplate install though, so it will be a cable coming out of the back.
