1991 CAMARO Z28 4000 miles

I have a 1991 Z28 Camaro with 4000 original miles

Factory radio delete, air delete

Road Race Cage

Engine blue printed by, Bill Mitchell Concepts

This car has all the 1LE options, but for some reason the origional window sticker says, $675.00 for ( rear ratio change) I believe this was the amount for the 1LE option.

The car is red with grey interior and is in mint condition.

I am asking 22,500.00 OBO. I also have 2 sets of original wheels

you can call 507-243-4104 or email at mark@racecraft.com

Re: 1991 CAMARO Z28 4000 4000 miles

Can sombody out there give me an idea what this car is worth and why? I have this car at a dealer and we are getting some offers, but I feel they are kind of low.

Thanks, Mark

Re: 1991 CAMARO Z28 4000 4000 miles

Racecraft,

We are in a tough time with our thirdgens. Really, everyone thinks that they will be the 'next ticket item' as first and second gen prices increase steadily. The market for low mileage thirdgens isn't really all that strong. A lot of people on Ebay pick up a car and expect to flip it, which is where EVERYONE looks for pricing quotes. I mean, don't get it wrong, there was an 87 Iroc with 1875 miles on it go up above $17k just this past week. The market is increasing for original, low mileage car, but most people arent willing to spend that kind of money or a car form the 80s when they can get an old muscle car from the 60s/70s.

Without seeing pictures or a little documentation really tells what your car is worth. Right now though, low mileage 1LE cars seem to be selling or bid up to the mid-high teens. I'm sure you will find the right buyer, it's just a matter of time.

Re: 1991 CAMARO Z28 4000 4000 miles

i've only seen one third gen bring that kind of $$$ and that was just a few days ago

i love third gens personally....but i think some people are on crack on there pricing of these things

comparing a 1LE to a COPO camaro is just silly, everytime i see that in an ebay add i just laugh

Re: 1991 CAMARO Z28 4000 4000 miles

ACTUALLY I HAVE SEEN MORE THAN A FEW BRING HIGH DOLLAR. A 1990 1LE BROUGHT $25,500 W/10K ON ODOMETER. ANOTHER 90 1LE BROUGHT $31,600 W/21K ON ODOMETER. 1990 IROC NON-1LE WITH AROUND 200 MILES BROUGHT $25,000.ANOTHER 1990 1LE SOLD FOR OVER $11,000. ANOTHER 1991 1LE FEW THOUSAND MILES BROUGHT AROUND $22.000.THIS IS ALL JUST THE IN THE PAST SIX MONTHS.HAVE ALSO SEEN A ALMOST 150k MILE 1991 1LE SOLD FOR AROUND $6,000. HAD AFTERMARKET A/C AND NON ORIGINAL INTERIOR.

AS FOR COMPARING TO A COPO, NO THE EIGHTIES DID NOT HAVE THE HORSEPOWER AS THE LATE SIXTIES DID. HOWEVER THE 1LE IS AN ALL AROUND GREAT ROAD CAR BACK IN THE DAY. SAFETY,HANDLING, RELIABILITY & TOP SPEED OVER 150 MPH! COPO DID HAVE THAT RAW HORSEPOWER ALSO HAD THE LOW PRODUCTION FIGURES.
HISTORY TENDS TO REPEAT IT'S SELF.IN ANOTHER 20 YEARS WHEN GEN X'RS ARE RETIRING AND THEIR KIDS ARE OUT OF COLLEGE,THEY WILL HAVE DISPOSABLE INCOME. THEY MAY BUY THAT CAMARO 1LE THEY COULDN'T AFFORD IN HIGH SCHOOL.ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

Exactly! You'd be surprised at the growing market for ultra low mileage rare 80's cars. Trust me, many of these trade hands without ever seeing eBay. I think they're better than money in the bank, and I've made a pretty solid second income speculating which cars are appreciating faster than the general public believes they are.
