I found my unicorn
Hey all, been awhile since I've been on here but since I've sold my '86, I've been lost, so to speak. Anyway, Im back in a 3rd gen - THE epitome of awesome (at least to me) I just picked up an '85 L69 today ! I'm so jazzed to have FINALLY found one after all these years. It's in decent shape, has some cancer on qtr. but pretty clean overall. It runs great & I can't wait to start tearing into her. I'll post up pics asap. Cheers !

I really miss my '85 L69... Was rear ended back in '98 and totaled the poor girl. Kept her for a while, but eventually had to sell her off to buy a pickup.

Oh man, that sucks ! I've had a few IROCs but they've all been ttop cars and I told myself my next one would be a hardtop 5 speed, but I had hoped it would also be an L69 & found one local, I couldn't believe it ! Just so stoked to have found this one & excited to start bringing her back like she deserves.

I'm in the same boat. When I bought my '87 three years ago the only good thing about it was the body. It had no motor, the interior had been infested by mice, the entire engine harness had been chewed up, and a ton of other things too.
I plug along on it when it's nice out and someday it will be back on the road, but it's far from being finished lol!
