Re: Mufflex Exhaust
Get a hawk sinister and pick your muffler. Way cheaper going that route versus the mufflex. I did the sinister on 2 cars, stuck a magnaflow on one and dynomax ultraflow on the other.

Re: Mufflex Exhaust
Made my own 4" catback with dual mufflers for less than $250. 4" hooker aerochamber and 4" dynomax ultra SS. Take away the dynomax or the aerochamber and save $70 so less than $200 for a mandrel 4" catback with SS band clamps.
All you need is a 4' section of 4" pipe, 4" 60* bend, three 90* bends with slip fit connections at $25 a pop. No welding, figure out your hangers and your all done. the cost of the sinister/mufflex kits are insane.

Re: Mufflex Exhaust
I just sold it to a member on Saturday. I had about $250 in the catback, 4" mandrel aluminized tubing. and nice walker SS torqtite band clamps.
Heres the for sale thread with pics.https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...-mufflers.html
It was a nice sounding exhaust but not tame enough for a DD style car. And I got a tone more ground clearance that Tony V's.

Re: Mufflex Exhaust
That's where you get your good ground clearance from under the cross member, If you had a UMI torque arm relocation cross member like me and Tony your ground clearance would be just like ours. Try routing exhaust around one of those and get back to me

Re: Mufflex Exhaust
I am running the 4" mufflex system, w/magnaflow muffler. Had a small problem with clearance under my factory crossmember for the 700r4 but with a couple of notches and welds here and there, I got it up. Dropped a full second off my 1/4 mile.
