1989 5.7 Trans Am GTA T-Tops 700r4
We are downsizing and this car is now for sale
1989 5.7 Trans am GTA 700r4. T-Tops. WS-6 suspension. Car has just over 104k miles.
Hawks tan seats
Hawks dash pad (not cracked)
Hawks interior pieces
4th gen style wing
Ram air hood with new ram air box not installed
GTA wheels with new center caps
Australian 9 bolt rear end with 3.27 gears
Hooker headers
Painted about 8 years ago and still looks pretty good
New emblems in the last few years
Flowmaster muffler with single exit
24lb LT1 injectors with PCMforless tune
Torque converter is not stock but I don't know what size, maybe 2000 or so
Latch pulldown actually works unlike most thirdgens
1987 GTA horn button (looks awesome)
Taillights are in great shape
255lph fuel pump almost new
Taylor spark plug wires almost new
Jegs distributor almost new
Things it does need:
Headlights go up nice but do not come down unless you manually do it
Car pulls to the right upon braking (4-23 We bought a set of rebuilt calipers as we think that may be why it's pulling. They will go with the car).
T-tops would leak in one spot behind the drivers seat when the car was parked slantways in the driveway but when we moved it normal they do not leak. I think just having the car slanted and on an incline caused the seals to not seal right.
Has a little rub on the nose and side molding stripe paint is not good
Issues aside this is a nice car with lots of nice stuff. Contrary to what many believe, these cars are going up in value and are hard to find not absolutely beat up. This one needs a little TLC to be a great car. This car is now a classic so it does not have to pass an emissions test anymore. Still has time on the current inspection.
Price drop from $5500 to $5200.
Pickup in The Colony, Texas. Outside of Dallas.

We will be replacing the starter soon so it will be running.
Edit: Starter is just fine, battery was too low to spin it. Car is ready to run and drive just needs a few small things to be a super car. It's extremely fun to drive.

Sorry man we're just looking to sell.
Also turns out the starter is just fine, the battery was just low.
Also need to add the interior lights staying on was my dad not noticing the dimmer switch was rolled all the way up so they stayed on all the time, rolled it back and now the lights go off just like they are supposed to. Senior moment, lol.

I know you said no trades, but maybe a Corvette would change your mind.

Just one, at a time. But I do change often. Tahoe fell through. Third gen round up is soon. Wouldn't mind another one. Sorry for hijacking the thread. I will post in the wanted section.

Excuse me for trying again, but here goes.
93 Vette. Quasar blue. 1 of 679 out of 20,000 that year. And the light gray interior is a nice match.
Now willing to even trade. Meet halfway. I'm in Austin.

Re: 1989 5.7 Trans Am GTA T-Tops 700r4
The 5.7 is factory. In 89 you could get a 350 with t-tops. Previous owner said the motor was completely rebuilt 2000 miles ago but was not about to provide the receipts. What I do know is that it runs and drives great, no noises or smoke or any other nonsense. It's a good car.

Re: 1989 5.7 Trans Am GTA T-Tops 700r4
Sorry for the delay here. We thought we were going to keep the car after all but my old man just bought another car so we are in fact selling this car. I will post the VIN so you can see it is a T-Top 350 car from the factory. Price is down to $5200 now. We also have a rebuilt set of calipers for the car as we think that's why it's pulling upon braking.
