switching from V6 V8 gauges(140mph & 8k)
well this is my first post ( after stalking this forum for 3 1/2 years). I am in the process of having a 383 drop in my 91 Firebird to replace the 3.1 V6. the computer has been ditched and i have switched to a carb motor with a t-5 trans (i know they don't last very long, just temporary till i can afford a T-56 or TKO 500 or 600). But what i wanna know is what needs to be done to get the gauges to work properly with the motor and trans. I've searched and searched but can find the right answer to my question. Just looking for someone to help point me in the right direction.

as far as i know the VSS is carry over for the speedo and the tach signal its one wire but i dont know if the pulse counts are the same
you can always try and youll know if the the tach is off real quick
