door lock switch

this is probably been covered but I can't find it anywhere I have an 87 Trans Am with 89 doors and panels .for some reason the lock switch will not fit into the bezels the new bezels I bought from Hawks. Are the two years different on the locks?

The switches should be the same for 86-90, and even 91-92 use the same switch, the bezels may be different.here's some illustrations to look at.

I feel like an idiot mana... You really have to push them bugger's in there. Jeez... does that drawing show the screws used for the lock bezels? Can't tell. Looks like the screw needs to tap into the plastic on the big bezel?
