Gauge cluster replacement?
Hey, I've been looking for a replacement gauge cluster for my 83 Z28. My speedometer and oil pressure gauge are no good, and i think my tachometer is on the way out as well. Individual gauges I've found have been a bit expensive. So I found a refurbished gauge cluster on hawks third gen parts. The entire gauge cluster with the 145MPH speedometer, entirely tested and gone through. $400. I know i can get cheaper used parts but i figured with this i know what i'm getting... You guys think this is a good deal?

I think you need to do some testing and make sure it's the cluster and not sensors and cables before you drop 400 and still have to replace other this possibly.

$400 seems excessive to me, but each to his own...
Electrical issues can crop up when swapping clusters, so you might consider perusing the following link:

The speedo cable is likely the culprit:

Check sensors. The car is after all 30+ years old.
