Question on Pre-Fab headliner

I saw on E-bay, there are headliners available for our T-top cars. I seen one that has the fabric and headliner board already to just attach to the car. (You choose the color to match and they cover the headliner) I am guessing I have to remove the old headliner, visors, and sails then attach this. Has ANYONE ever used this? The cost is $256 plus S&H. What is you opinion on this? I am not sure of the company's name that puts these out.

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

I called the TPI parts (they are the ones who sell the pre fab headliners). They tell me it is relatively EASY to intall. They say the sunvisor or the sails are just double sided velcroe that sticks on. Wondering how that will be with the tops off and the wind whipping into the car. Anyone think I should spring for this headliner and install it?

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

If your talking about the ABS headliners than go for it. They are pretty easy to get in there and look great compared to the stock. I got a kit a while back that included everything you mentioned and it looks great. Make sure its froma reputable dealer and manufacturer and then go for it!

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

I called... and they are mailing me "free" samples of the fabric that I will need for the headliner. I was reading other posts about this company on this forum, they have some good reviews. I suspose I will spring for the headliner, and let you all know how it turns out, with some pics.

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

I myself ordered a new headliner/visors/sail panels from them. they were very nice in sending out samples several times infact because I couldn't make up my mind.

Still waiting for everything to arrive but they did say it might take up to a 10 day lead time.

so we'll see when everything arrives.

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

Check out the group purchase going on for headliners.
It's ending on the 6th i think, it's well worth it, especially since it's from a company who sponsors TGO.

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

I spent 50 bucks and got the materiel and 2 cans of 3M spray glue (shipped) and recovered my own. Only took me 2 hours start to finish. Mine had a molded fiberglass backer. Kind of like a pressed fiberglass insulation.

Re: Question on Pre-Fab headliner

I just sent in an order to TPI. It is the plastic backing, and they are giving a discount to people on this forum if we get 10 orders by tomorrow! Let's order from these guys to get the group discount! I believe we are more than halfway there!
