tinting side markers, HELP!

I need help tinting the side markers for my car, I've sanded the side markers so the writing came off & there smooth but When I try to tint the tint just doesn't stick, is there a protective adhesive film I have to take off for it to stick???

Please help, thanks.

nm figured it out lol, I alreayd put one of the tinted side markers on my ride and boy does it look aweosme, prefect on ym car witht he black GFX.

here is a scan of the side marker just after I tinted it, I was like for 15% but had to use 20% because it was either that or 5% and I wanted it to still be very visible @ night. I will be doing the front lamps also I can't wait to see the finished product!

well I just finished the whole project, the front lamps are done as well as the side markers...

All I have to say is woah. it completley changes the fornt look of the car, much more agressive & stylish, goes perfect with my black GFX.

Expect pics as soon as I can get a hold of a digi cam

If anyone wants to do an inexpensive appearance mod wortht he money then I highly recommend this

Why not use some of that spray on tint? I'd imagine it would be a tad easier to apply, and you could make it as light or dark you would like. Depending on how much you spray, of course.

You can make your markers as light or dark as you want with window tint too.

Tint is funny, you really have to work with it for a while until it starts to dry.

becuase they don't sell it @ checkers or autozone & I hate waiting, the tine worked just as good, plus if I get pulled over for "illegals" side markers then all I have to do is take the tint off.

I see your point, the main reason why I would choose nightshades over window tint is durrability. The window tink might not last long on the front of the car.
