Powdercoating a car...

Is it possible to powdercoat entire body panels (or a whole car)? I'm considering a paint that doesn't look too far off from primer, but I want it durable and able to withstand the elements and UV rays...

Anyone know?

Anything's possible. Just finding an oven big enough for the shell and the prep work probably wouldn't be worth it IMO. But not saying it can't be done. You can do the body panels at least. That would be interesting though. Something I haven't seen yet.

The car would have to be completely stripped down inside and out....if not everything non metal would melt from the temperature of the oven. Then comes finding an oven big enough for the car.

Everything metal could be coated. A local shop has a oven that they wheel in Sprint and Stock car chassis in and coat em. Thats where I buy my powder from.

I have a spair 3rdGen fender Im gona powdercoat in some off the call cool color just to see what it looks like.
