i think they will look ok, but an SS hood will never hurt. just make up ur mind weither or not u wanna get the hood before u get the stripes, cause if u just do stripes and then get hood u gotta pay an extra 400 or so for the hood stripes. that wont be fun

I'm more partial to heritage stripes myself, but i don't think they'll look too bad, I'd think hugger orange would look bada§§

Cool. Goin for the modern Shelby look, good idea. But get a hood now. I'm going to go for the Shelby look (blue/white stripes) that was on the Gt 500 with the hood stripes and the side bumper stripes. How are you painting them on?

I think that the stripes should end at the hood... but thats just me! The heritage stripes are the best lookin' stripes IMO.

I would love to see that SS hood with some stripes...

I'm not huge on stripes, but I like them better when they're on the whole car. I'd consider a darker hue of red tho.

I love it man!! I am having the same thing thing done to my Z, but with hugger orange stripes on white. But an SS hood won't hurt anything either man!!

Wow, thanks for all the responses! The color will be darker to match the interior. Has anyone actually seen the SS hood with Stripes? I need to see a pic since it's hard to get the full legnth ones to look just rite. That front spoiler is tricky. Also I was hopeing 1K Would cover hood, paint, and stripes. Does that sound reasonable?

Nope... the SS hood is almost 500 bucks alone... If you are getting the whole car painted with stripes for 500, you are more than likely getting a crappy paint job... You will have problems in a couple years with peeling... fading etc..
Thats in my experience...

The Heritage stripes look ok,but I just wished that the stripes went down to just above the grill like the 1st and 2nd gens stripes did.

Do you have a pic that you can actually see details?
It looks ok, but I cant really see the stripes...

How was the quality of your ASCD hood? ANy extra work need to be done to it other than primer and paint?
