real nice stripes. Really like how it gets wider there. And the rear is nice too.

I was about to ask my paint guy to do something like that, but at the last minute said no. I went with a solid white. But that blue/white looks great.

good job

hehe...Mine as red originally too! I've alays wondered where my car went. Yours isn't it. It has a few unique custom touches, that wouldn't stand out, but I'd know them. I looked at your pics. Nice ride.

Naw!! Was red before I decided to go with the viper blue. We did the color change back in 97. So yeah, this paint job is about 10 year old!!!

I have one or two pic of it when it was red. Maybe I can scan them sometime. It looked like a 89 Iroc without the hood and Iroc door sticker.

It had the black/silver stirpe around the bottom and the GM rear louvers.

Here are a few interior pics and a extra engine pic!

Looks clean and easy to get at. My Mallory HEI is one of the stupidest designs I have ever seen. It works fine, but I hate it so much I am compeled to just rip it out and get an MSD.

We set the spring rate for the advance to match my head/cam combo.
I am able to run 38-40* total timing. All in by 3000 rpm.

I think the part # was 85551. You do have to run a 6a or 6al box. Some of the best money I have spent.

It works just about right. I can watch the tree and my rpm at the same time.
My biggest problem is I keep watching the stock tach.

Yeah, thats cool. I really wish I had gone that route. I think I will over the winter.

On top of my Mallory HEI being shitty, the damn mallory 6AL box wont work right either. It made the car run better, but it's TACH wire wouldn't make my damn autometer tach move. I am thinking about just cutting my losses and junking it all and getting what you have.

so much wasted $ and so much more to spend....

I ended up with 2 HEI dist with some parts I bought. I sold both and bought the MSD. Nothing really wrong with the HEI's, one was brand new. I knew that the MSD dist would do all I need street or strip.

I do suggest that you go with a unit that has a rev limiter. I am running a 6A box, but would like to go to a 6AL. Maybe ad a 2-step box.

Oh yeah, I am running a AutoGauge Tach and it works just fine plugged into the 6A box.

yeah, I def am getting a 6AL. I got the mallory in the begining for its rev miniter. I just wanted to be safe when I played with the N20. Now looking back. I should have just gotten the works, and got a timing advance retard box, an MSD 6AL and an MSD dizzy. Live and learn I guess.

Thanks. I saw it on a new 96 Viper and thought the combo looked great.

I was going with solid black, but when I priced the viper blue by the qt, it was the same price. I then decided I wanted my car to be different than any other local camaro. There were black, red, Iroc blue, and white cars running around, but nothing like mine. We had just got done doing a red camaro with black stripes the same way.

I wish I could tell ya. My car is in the paintbooth right now getting a nice coat of Artic White. I have not even broken in the rear, or the clutch yet. The motor is getting dynotunned the day after the daint dries. By then it will be the dead of winter. If we get a warm day in the winter, I will pull her out and drive to one of the WIDE open industiral parks and measure a 1/4 mile, and run it with a stop watch, just to get an idea before spring.

It is strickly a street car, but I would assume I am gonna run high to mid 11's maybe. I have no idea. I have never even run a car at a track. Thats what I can't wait to do with me creation. haha. I will llet you know as soon as I do, what this set up can run.

Yeah weather sucks!!! lol.

I am hoping to get to the track one last time this year before I put it up for the winter. I plan on a few mods over the winter. I am hoping to be in the low 12's come spring with the stock crank/rods/pistons.

Nice.

I don't even know what a setup like I have is supposed to run. I just expect kinda fast. 500hp, 385 with a pretty high reving motor. vic jr intake and 750 DP. I don't know my cam specs off the top of my head. A T-56 from a 94 T/A and a Moser 12 bolt with 4.10s. I also have 335 out back, so there is plenty of rubber. Car has no no heat, or a/c. Also has no smog, or even PS.

Motor is all forged with N20 ready rings. Should live right up through a 400 shot if I was ever so inclined. (which I never will be). I was thinkin about finding out what the drivetrain takes out and then spray it that much. So if the dyno says I have 400 HP, then use a 100 shot, just so I can get the car back to 500 Hp. Then next year, maybe just do some port work or change the cam to get some more power out of it.

I am just guessing into the wind when I say 11s.

LOL, maybe I will. That is kinda far from me, but it would be a fun challenge to see if the car that I built all by myself can make it there, race, and back with no issues...

I say it is crazy now, but who knows, once this thing is done, I do wanna drive the hell out of it.

I would love to race you xpndbl3. You seem like you know what you are talking about. I am sure I could learn a thing or two.

Do you think I would keep up with you?

How much weight did you save going to the Welds?

What rear tires are you running? 60ft times?
