Those are NICE!! I should think about doing that with my car...did you change the brights too? Because my brights suck arse...
i see no need to i havent used them yet. ive had the lows for about 4 months now and ive had the fogs for a week. imma leave the highs halogen cause thats what most of the upper class cars like vettes that have HID lows their highs are still halogen
did you use relays when you did the instal or did you just hard wire them into the stock wiring...teh headlights also...im doing audi hid's in mine but i dont wanna burn up my harness so let me kno...
mine are a plug and play kit. with my car everything i have done can be returned back to stock within a day. there is nothing i cant change back and you wont even know it was different.
About 90% of "fog" lamps are actually driving lights. "Most" true fog lamps are actually amber or yellow so that they reflect less against the water vapor. Those that aren't have special lenses to tilt the light downward, again to reduce the glare. For all intents and purposes, having hid's in the grille makes them driving lights. Using them in the fog would be self defeating.

from the factory they are called fog lights hence i call them fog lights. argue with GM on that one. stock they werent yellow so go buy a Lexus
any pictures on how did u install them or mount them?? as in wiring and the ballast..
didnt think about it. they are simple. they come with little holsters to mount them in but i just used 3m 2sided tape to mount them. the low beams are mounted right behind them, driver side is near all the smog stuff, and passenger is near the battery. as for the fogs, i have the ram air set up on mine where it has the metal boxes behind the FOG lights, if i pull them out there is a metal brace infront of them im guessing this is the bumper support and both ballasts are mounted on this piece of metal.

Easy there big fella. Wasn't being critical. Besides, since I work for a GM dealer (and have for nearly 30 years in one form or another), I hope I'm smarter than that by now, lol. There are a lot of things GM does that do not make any sense. I was just making a general comment based on Brisk's statement that it made them driving lights.

Can I just bolt these on as an OEM replacement or do I need to change some wiring and/or connectors?
P.S. I bought these because my headlights are not bright enough for when I drive... It's actually for safety more than look. Unfortunately where I live we dodge potholes for a living so I kinda need these for night time drives.
What I hate about pictures of these types of things is you can never really tell what they look like, the picture never comes out like in person... Nice job btw.

ya i dodge potholes here too. Youngstown is the #2 worst city in America for roads. anyway any pics esc. the fog lights? might do them HID. OH is strict on those, fog is my only option.

well i hope to have the car at many national shows that i can attend this year. i will be at the fbody gathering in atlanta in may and may take it down to spring break nationals in daytona.
btw ill take some more pictures when i go out sometime. its been too nipplely lately to be out for too long
I assume when you say you went with 880 bulbs for the fog lamps, you mean just a regular 880 fog light bulb? I use the Silverstar 893 bulbs in my fog lights and the Silverstar 9003 in my headlights, but I plan on switching the 9003 to HID soon.
im purchased a hid kit form ebay . .plug and play .. i was using the projectors with the h4 bulbs so i "upgraded headlights " with the relays and all, they look good but now im goiing to run a hid kit. im not gettin enough voltage or not sure but theses lights are turning on.. did u do any other wiring??
no it draws less power than factory and they run cooler than factory lights....you better make sure yours wont melt the projector cause ive heard of the projectors getting melted.
should just be plug and play....what problem are you having? ill be glad to help. either pm me or text me 803.609/7334. headed to work shortly so ill be up for a good while.
no not that. they are three wires with little rings at the end that r suppose to go connected to the battery, but i dont know how to connect it to my battery
yes they are true HIDS, hence why he needs to tap onto the battery, the stock headlight harness doesnt push enough power for an igniter.
bglancer- the positive you can attach to your pos batt terminal. i might be easier if you go to your local parts store and get a terminal with an accessory mount location. as for the ground any body panel bolt will work. just make sure it has a good metal contact thats not painted.
very nice on how they look
i myself am waiting for my fog lights to come in since i bought them from a member here on TGO once i get them i am gonna do the HID kit to them...
i just have to see if my friend can sell me another kit for my car's fog light.. i bought the low beams from him and they are very bright also

ok so i have the same set up i have my h4 swap already in and it works great... but when i went to put the 880 in for the fogs the bulbs hit the reflectors inside so i went to remove the reflectors and ended up breaking one of the lenses so now im waiting for new fog lights... how did you get around this and do you know where to get retainers for the fog light glass
