As many of you know, we try to feature as many readers rides as possible in a section of the magazine called STREET HEAT. Usually, people will email us tiny, unusable pictures but I know ThirdGen.org has some killer cars that need to be seen in our Street Heat section.
So, here are the guidelines...
Post up 1-3 Pictures of your car in regular, internet resolution.
Make sure that you have the original photograph, in HIGH RESOLUTION ready and able to be sent.
DO NOT POST THEM IN FULL RES HERE.
Include a link or brief (seriously, very very brief) mod list.
Each month we will pull some people from here (amongst other places) and get you guys into the magazine.
Please note, we will contact you before we run the story, so please don't PM me and ask if we picked you yet. We have hundreds of readers submit pictures (which is really awesome) so it takes time to go through all of them. If we like your picture/car we will get in touch with you to get more information and get your final approval to run the shot.
Lawyers note: All photos posted in this single thread are presumed to be for publication and GMHTP reserved the right to edit accompanying descriptions.
I'll be able to get high res photos of my engine bay and interior this weekend, the only ones I have with the new drivetrain are with my camera phone. I'm getting the car back from the exhaust shop either tomorrow or Thursday and I'll be able to get as many pictures as need be. Besides, I hadn't finished putting loom on my harness or installed an a/c delete box yet.
Regardless, here is my 6.0L LSX/T56 powered '91 Z28 convertible. MS4 cam, LS6 intake, forged internals, Scorpion rockers, dual valve springs, tubular kmember, etc etc etc. It has a mod list a mile long, so I'll save that for if you decide to run it in the magazine :

I have always had a soft spot for the 82-92 fbodies, probably because of growing up in the 80's and early 90's. It seems as if this generation of Camaro has been completely skipped over....and I have no idea why! I bought my car when I was 19. It was rough when I got it, dents dings, faded paint etc. I drove it everyday...to and from work and school. I saved every nickel and dime...and always thought to myself....hopefully one day, I can really make this car stand out....and make it be recognized (maybe even as recognizable as the first generation Camaros). So, after working at a grocery store for 5+ years and spending hundreds of hours on thirdgen.org, it was time to strip it down and to use the car as my template. So me and my dad did the body work and repainted the car. It looked brand new! But was it enough? Noway. So from there....I added and modified many parts of the car..and here it is...almost 8 years later...my 3rd set of wheels, brand new air ride suspension, nitrous, & new interior. What makes me feel the best about it...is that most of the work was done by me and my dad. I think it's "almost" there.

Some really sweet rides in here, but I'm pretty sure the carb cars are ineligible. I've never seen a carb under the hood of anything in GMHTP. Hence the High Tech part: EFI.
(mine is ineligible due to the Performance part )

Your car looks VERY much like I want my 1985 Trans Am to look like when I'm finished building it up. Right now it looks like junk yard leftovers, but it won't for too long I hope. I will have the spoiler on mine and my exhaust tips won't show like that. I'll also probably put the side molding back along the doors. I think it looks better. Though I'm probably in the minority on that. Right now I'm stripping the car down to just a rolling chassis to get the body work done and then painted. After that's all done I can start the engine work, and then rebuild the suspension. Once all that's done I'll tackle the interior.

Thanx for the compliment..
I also have a Hawks firberglass repro Aerowing ready for prep n paint. Should be on this spring. Then the tails wont look so radical. Ive just always wanted big slashcut SS tips. So i did. Its actually a Borla adjustable catback, cant tell be looking at it though.
Wow, there are some amazing cars in this post. I am not sure if mine is in the same class, but here is my thirdgen. I bought it back in early 2000 with a blown motor; it was in pretty sad shape and probably headed for the scrapper. It took a good bit of work to get it streetable again. I daily drove it for about 4 or so years while slowly bringing it back to it's former glory. A friend and I did a complete tear down/repaint back in 2004 when it was retired from daily driver status. I am currently working on an LT1/T56 swap along with a 4th gen LT1 dash conversion. As pictured it has:
l98 with misc bolt ons/t5/4th gen 3.42p ls1 spec rear/ls1 style front brakes/camaro ss wheels/cervini's 3" hood/91 camaro GFX/91 Z28 spoiler/99 TA seats & console
Thanx for the compliment..

Your wheel choice is exactly what I want to go with. I also have a TPI system that has some damage to the finish, and I wondered what it would look like painted black. After seeing the pictures taken under your hood, I now know. How much boost are you running on that Procharger?
This is my '86 Trans AM. It's a bit odd, I ended up buying a '92 Firebird for a parts car and ended up switching out the water damaged TA Taillights with the Firebird's. Did a bit of tweeking with the wireing so that the signals light up with the breaklights, but still blink like they're suppose to
Here's a pic of it this past summer, after the parts and interior conversion:
And here are some pics I took of it about an hour ago, I just added some decals to it yesterday. It's snowing, so it was hard to get decent pics =/
As far as a Mod list goes, it's not much, but:
Custom Crimson Metallic paint [Credited to my Dad]
Torq Thrust polished aluminium mags, 16x8 front 17x10 rear
'92 Firebird Interior, Black
'92 Firebird Taillights
Custom Taillight Wireing
