Ever Wonder What A T/A Wrap-Around Would Look Like on a Camaro?
Topic says it all...
Excuse the dirty car...
The wrap around came with the hatch glass (i borke the new one when putting the '88 Shorty back on, other one broke before that from heat...)
the wing is in terrible shape, but gives a good imprssion of what one would look like...
I REALLY LIKE IT! Thought I'll share...

last one...
What do you think ????
I wouldn't keep this spoiler, unless I could "permantly" fix it... but I quess it could stay until I could get a fiberglass one from Dirk...

Actually... it took some getting used to.... but that actually might not be too bad (having a wraparound on a Camaro).

And another....
On a side note, yeppirs, this hatch is -much- heavier than the old one that was on my car. When I used to use the remote release I would have to make sure no one was near the hatch so I did not crack them in the head when the hatch popped! It used to open the hatch all the way up when I hit the release, now with this one it just pops and you have to pull it up.

you aint jokin about how "heavy" it is. I used to be able to lift my other hatch up no prob when installing the lift supports, i wasn't ready to lift that much weight!
Same here about the remote hatch release, it will unlock it, but it won't pop up any more. No problem for me, cuase i never liked how dast it went up sometimes...

my car may be blue, and that may be orange and beat up, but it will stay there for now I am loving the looks of it! IT gives the rear end exactly what I was looking for!
I was going to put a 3 peice (which i have all the peices for) but hey, this requires less work! No drilling holes for the side peices!

Its deffiantly different, I have always tought f-bodys should have a spoiler that wraps down around the tail lights. I could prob get use to it though. So how functional is it though?? Time to go make some fast cornors to test it

There's a guy that runs a third gen Camaro in the Silver State Challenge (hi speed 90 mile NV desert hiway run) that says he's seen a 5mph improvement by using the T/A wraparound spoiler.
He averages over 170 mph for the 90 miles, so it's a very practical hi-speed mod. He also removes his side mirrors.
